The transformation and upgrading of resource-exhausted cities are crucial for regional sustainable development, but how to help them overcome innovation challenges remains be explored. Based on data from 2003 2016, this study used a difference-in-differences (DID) method examine the impact China’s support policy urban tests long-term mechanisms. results indicate that significantly enhanced levels. mechanism showed these policies promoted through mechanisms increasing marketization industrial structures. Further analysis revealed innovation-promoting effects were more significant in located eastern region, those not dependent coal, with low reliance extractive industries, favorable talent environment. findings suggest government should provide achieve transformation, upgrading, development innovation.

The digital economy offers new solutions for reconciling the growth of non-timber forest-based (NTFBE) with ecological and environmental protection. Utilizing panel data from China’s provinces between 2011 2020, this study constructed a comprehensive indicator system purpose examining coordinated development NTFBE environment. employment econometric methods, including Tobit models, mediated effects spatial Durbin models threshold regression has enabled us to ascertain that can effectively drive development. positive spillover effect in neighboring regions, although there is no discernible impact central northeastern China. Improvements human capital infrastructure reinforce effect. Furthermore, empowerment green technology industrial transformation, as well adoption differentiated strategies across distinct forest economic would be paramount importance. These findings indicate necessity standardization NTFBE. In conclusion, these implications offer novel forested regions reconcile socioeconomic protection, thereby fostering sustainable forests.

In the context of digital economy, technology is an important driving force to promote green development and achieve “dual-carbon goal”. Taking 1746 Shanghai Shenzhen A-share enterprises from 2015 2022 as research objects, we empirically examine relationship between government subsidies, transformation, corporate innovation. The study shows that (1) there inverted “U”-shaped subsidies technological innovation, while transformation plays a mediating role, difference quality quantity in promoting (2) Through analysis moderating effect, it found market concentration has obvious inhibitory effect enterprise (3) study, by classifying nature enterprises, promotion on innovation weaker under heavily polluted than non-heavily but interval larger. Therefore, should make full use inject new impetus into their activities, fully consider appropriate space for receive reasonable incentive smooth information docking channels subsidies.
