Abstract This study investigates the antimicrobial effectiveness of 405 nm light emitting diodes (LEDs) against pathogenic Escherichia coli O157:H7, Listeria monocytogenes , Pseudomonas aeruginosa Salmonella Typhimurium, and Staphylococcus aureus in thin liquid films (TLF) on solid surfaces. Stainless steel (SS), high density polyethylene (HDPE), low (LDPE), borosilicate glass were used as materials typically encountered food processing, service, clinical environments. Anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) coupons with nanoscale topography used, to evaluate effect inactivation. The impact surface roughness, hydrophobicity, reflectivity inactivation was assessed. ABSTRACT The use of ultraviolet (UV‐C) disinfection robots has become increasingly popular in diverse settings, including hospitals, schools, public transportation, and high‐traffic areas, especially following the COVID‐19 pandemic. These offer potential to enhance efficiency reduce human exposure microorganisms.
