Electric vehicles stand out for their ability to reduce pollution. However, electric vehicle sales have not been brisk despite positive effects. The objective of this study is twofold: first, determine the variables that predict purchase an from implementation algorithm based on computational intelligence; second, contrast these results with two panels experts in consumer behavior and automobile sector. An empirical was carried 404 potential consumers Spain regard beliefs, attitudes intention. show range, incentives reliability are most reliable predictors Likewise, posit selection three would be sufficient know intention buyers vehicles. In addition, it provides useful information policy makers private companies decision making marketing process.

Impacts of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on the transport sector and corresponding policy measures are becoming widely investigated. Considering various uncertainties unknowns about this virus its impacts (especially long-term impacts), it is critical to understand opinions suggestions from experts within related planning fields. To date, however, there no study that fills gap in a comprehensive way. This paper an executive summary findings WCTRS COVID-19 Taskforce expert survey conducted worldwide between end April late May 2020, obtaining 284 valid answers. The include those field other relevant disciplines, keeping good balances geographic regions, types workplaces, working durations. Based extensive analyses results, first reveals realities lockdowns, restrictions out-of-home activities physical distancing requirements, as well modal shifts. Experts' agreements disagreements structural questions changes lifestyles society then discussed. Analysis results revealed our human was not prepared for current pandemic, reaffirming importance risk communication. Geographical differences shifts further identified, especially active car dependence. Improved sustainability resilience expected future but should be supported by effective behavioral intervention measures. Finally, implications discussed, together with important research issues.

This paper reviews the market for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure; it focuses on types of existing charging, main functions and actors in future policy actions required widespread expansion. Electric vehicles represent a key technology mitigation transportation greenhouse gas emissions ambitious EV adoption targets have been set by many governments 2030 beyond. The rollout infrastructure is vital achieving this goal, as uptake EVs linked to level coverage chargers. To date, both public private sectors involved provision stations timely consider roles different market. We whether good or asset address issues location chargers, deployment models needed develop, operate own infrastructure, finally context development infrastructure. find that clear should be assigned individual funders, order achieve efficient large-scale deployment.

Widespread electric vehicle (EV) adoption is crucial for achieving California's climate goals. The inclusion of marginalized populations in this process important and will require that they have access to charging infrastructure. Public EV stations may help reduce the barriers affecting these populations. This study combines public station location data with American Community Survey at census block group level California, finding charger lower groups below-median household incomes those a Black Hispanic majority These disparities are more pronounced areas higher proportion multi-unit housing, where critical operation due likelihood residential access. Controlling distance nearest highway or freeway, housing unit rate, median income, we find only race ethnicity significantly less likely any their compared rest state. odds having 0.7-times no reference group. gap even larger publicly-funded approximately half as no-majority Hence directing portion funding underserved communities further government involvement filling can be widespread equitable adoption.

The rapid growth of the global economy and advanced technology has modernized our life, but it taken its toll on ecology environmental sustainability. Over last few decades, world experienced increased emissions toxic gases, severe warming, ambient air pollution. Mass dependency internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles is rightfully criticized for increasing pollution, jeopardizing societal health outcomes, perpetuating use fossil fuels-all which threaten sustainable development. Amid this situation, to ensure economic social as well help achieve development goals (SDGs) by improving energy security, electric (EVs) are green alternatives conventional high-emission vehicles. To successfully promote EV adoption diffusion in emerging economies, key drivers that may foster process must be identified evaluated. However, there exists a conspicuous literature gap domain. This study presents an intelligent multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach, integrating Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM), Cross-Impact Matrix Multiplication Applied Classification (MICMAC) identify, examine, classify successful EVs economies. Based review expert feedback, total seventeen were later prioritized using PCA. top twelve have been further analyzed ISM-MICMAC examine their interrelationships. findings reveal vehicle performance reliability, adequate power charging infrastructure, government policies most influential factors adoption. Finally, offers several managerial implications prospects, aid governments automotive sectors taking strategic measures capture booming market pursue more customers future.
