The spray-assisted low-temperature desalination (SLTD) technology driven by low-grade heat sources has demonstrated excellent thermodynamic and economic performances. However, existing studies are based on steady-state analyses cannot describe dynamic system performance under fluctuations of the operating conditions. This work presents an unsteady-state analysis SLTD waste-heat sources. A model is developed validated against experimental data. observed to predict temperature profiles accurately with a maximum absolute error ±0.3 °C. Then, applied analyze responses different disturbances. Results show that first evaporator most sensitive source fluctuation, while locations farther away from disturbance have longer response times smaller fluctuations. When for 4-effect fluctuates 10 %, time fluctuation amplitude 1st effect 579 s 8 respectively, those 4th 1007 3 respectively. Besides, systems transfer areas, fewer numbers effect, higher temperatures faster speeds. results provide useful information operation control strategy exploitation.

Hydrogen, a sustainable energy carrier, plays pivotal role in decarbonizing various industrial sectors. Key devices such as water electrolyzers and fuel cells enable hydrogen cycle by producing using renewable energies converting into electricity. The efficiency of these is primarily determined electrocatalysts other critical components like membranes, gas diffusion layers bipolar plates. dynamic complex triple-phase reactions well the corrosive operational environments present significant challenges achieving optimal performance durability. This review not only summarizes recent advances functional coatings but also elucidates underlying mechanisms which modulate interfacial interactions mitigate degradation. We further propose roadmap for designing next-generation multifunctional coatings, emphasizing their potential to bridge gap between laboratory research applications.
