We scrutinize the environmental policies' efficacy in reducing ecological footprint by interweaving two other vibrant parameters of degradation mitigation, i.e., renewable energy sources and innovation. To this end, we apply a Cross-Sectional Autoregressive Distributed Lags (CS-ARDL) approach to analyze panel time-series data (1990–2018) context OECD countries. Our analysis shows that policy significantly reduces through innovation channels. findings also support idea policy's effectiveness is conditional on countries' bio-capacity surplus/deficit level industrialization. The overall hold up well presence cross-sectional dependence, short-run heterogeneity, long-run homogeneity under respective sample. underscore need for more stringent policies, supported technological advancements clean initiatives, mitigate impact human economic activities natural resources.

Current society has been centered on the edge of calamity induced by environmental degradation. Providing comprehensive scientific evidence and designing reliable accurate policies have irreparable initiatives to mitigate reverse effects degradation harmonize economy with nature. Within this addressed objective, study explores impact globalization, economic complexity, urbanization, real income CO2 emissions, ecological footprint, load capacity factor in 7 Emerging countries (E-7). The provides regarding quality handling three environmental-related indicators. second-generation panel methods involving Durbin–Hausman cointegration LM Panel Bootstrap Cointegration Test AMG CCEMG estimators Dumitrescu Hurlin Causality are performed data spanning from 1995 2020. According investigation, explanatory variables cointegrated dependent variables. proves that renewable energy globalization pivotal factors lessening enriching quality. However, urbanization growth impair environment E-7 countries, while complexity is found be a statistically significant for all

This study examines the potential for long-term sustainable development in highly developed and sophisticated economies by analyzing N-shaped environmental Kuznets curve relationship between economic complexity index ecological footprint of five largest European from 1994 to 2020. It also assesses joint impact R&D expenditure, renewable energy consumption, taxation, moderating effect effort-economic linkage on complexity-ecological nexus. Long-run estimation was conducted using Driscoll-Kraay standard error estimators. Subsequently, panel-corrected errors robustness test performed. The results confirm existence EKC reveal a significant inverse taxation their footprint. expenditure dampening is validated, indicating pathways toward sustainability. Therefore, when considered together, enhancing taxes, can alleviate depletion complex analyzed. These findings have essential policy implications.

Abstract The world economy is currently dealing with a constant increase in ecological damages, mostly as result of continuous depletion the nature's resources for human's economic and noneconomic uses. Efforts to enhance certain green environmental indicators order achieve sustainability have been driven by necessity bridge these disparities. first empirical data addressing question whether policy strictness, technology, renewable energy, digitalization contribute or worsen damages economies BRICS countries between 1990 2022 presented this study. theoretical evidence emanates from novel STIRPAT framework, which enables incorporation other control variables, such urbanization, growth, foreign direct investment, globalization. Second‐generation estimators form basis verification. results indicate that digitalization, technology all positively well‐being. However, stringent regulations appear limited impact on advancing countries. Nonetheless, strict seem be ineffective propelling BRICS. Moreover, it evident globalization, investment exacerbate damage. panel findings are supported nation‐level analysis. Additionally, model calculations identify one‐way two‐way connections two causal pathways. study's conclusions utilized propose recommendations.
