Abstract This study aims to determine the sustainability of renewable energy in utilising mangrove forests. Mangrove forests have great potential as a source. In addition functioning natural balancer and carbon store, can produce environmentally friendly electrical energy. uses qualitative method provide an overview development scientific research on sustainable through utilisation. Data sources were obtained by accessing journals Scopus database from 2014 2024, with 398 articles. The data was then analysed VOSviewer. findings showed several dominant concept clusters: alternative energy, biomass, ecosystem function, environmental impact, forest. benefits resource. Meanwhile, this is limited because articles used only come Scopus. Future needs comparative analysis approach using Web Science (WoS) database.
