Abstract Aim We reconstructed the genetic patterns and identified main breaks of several taxa across California Baja coast. Additionally, we evaluated contribution different variables to level structure. Location Taxon Fish, invertebrates, algae, seagrass mammals. Methods generated a map reconstruct using information (Fst index phylogenetic clades distribution) from literature review population genetics publications 2000 2023. For analysis connectivity drivers, explored effect representing life history traits, reproductive strategies biogeographic five working hypotheses which were with generalized linear models (GLMs). Results 42 63 species our study area. The largest number occurs 27° N 29° 31° 35° N. This range includes transition zones between ecoregions such as Punta Eugenia, California, Mexico Point Conception, USA. also Ensenada, region barrier gene flow. From transboundary perspective, found 40 including 14 commercial or recreational species. none had clear on differentiation assessed in region. Main Conclusion Genetic among do not distribute randomly latitudinal coastal area, rather they are mainly located marine ecoregions. challenge identify specific that explain general highlights complexity drives processes

Rafting has been proposed as an effective mechanism for species without free-living pelagic larvae to achieve long-distance dispersal, theoretically preventing population differentiation over wide distributional ranges. Moreover, rafting advocated a main dispersal marine invertebrates with sub-Antarctic distributions, because of abundant buoyant kelps, driven by the Antarctic Circumpolar Current. Nonetheless, little attention given role establish regular gene flow across sub-Antarctic, and geographic temporal scales at which it occurs. Aiming unravel these major questions about extent genetic connectivity Southern Ocean (SO), we studied pulmonate limpet Siphonaria lateralis , benthic encapsulated larvae, found on rocky intertidal islands southern South America. Since S. is closely associated D. antarctica plausible, revealed absence phylogeographic structure sub-Antarctic. ABSTRACT Aim As climate change increasingly threatens the world's coral reefs, enhancing their resilience by improving population connectivity for key reef species is crucial ensuring persistence. Here, we evaluate genomic structure of two common species, Pocillopora acuta and Porites sp., chosen due to divergent life histories. Thousands single‐nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were sequenced analysed infer regional patterns in Southeast Asia, a region that harbours tremendous diversity marine life. Location Coasts Malay Peninsula northern Borneo, covering ~1 million km 2 . Method NextRAD genotyping‐by‐sequencing 185 sp. 221 colonies. Libraries prepared on Illumina NovaSeq 6000. Genotyping involved initial quality controls, allele frequency filtering checks contamination. Genetic was assessed with Bayesian clustering, relationships between genetic variation environmental factors studied through redundancy analysis. Contemporary gene flow estimated using BayesAss. Results We observed panmixia among broadcasting populations, while brooding , acts strong barrier dispersal Malacca Strait southern South China Sea. Moreover, its seems follow current ecoregion delineation. By analysing contemporary migrant movement, can prioritise localities conservation. In particular, at Andaman Coral Coast are contemporarily isolated from other localities, Tioman identified as major larval source both species. Main Conclusion Our analyses highlight contrasting differentiation be explained disparity reproductive strategies. These findings important biodiversity managers Asia; incorporation considerations into conservation planning help safeguard ecosystem
