Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are porous and crystalline polymers, which have found usage in various fields. These tailorable through the introduction of diverse functionalities into platform. Indeed, functionality plays a key role their different applications. However, sometimes functional groups not compatible with reaction conditions or can compete interfere other monomers direct synthetic method. Also, pre-synthesis bulky moieties COFs negatively affect crystal formation. Chiral covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold considerable promise in the realm of heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis. However, fine-tuning pore environment to enhance both activity and stereoselectivity chiral COFs such applications remains a formidable challenge. In this study, we have successfully designed synthesized series clover-shaped, hydrazone-linked COFs, each with varying number accessible pyrrolidine catalytic sites. Remarkably, efficiencies these aldol reaction between cyclohexanone 4-nitrobenzaldehyde correlate well sites within frameworks.
