The colorimetric detection of metal ions has witnessed a surge in advancements, with nanostructured fibers emerging as powerful platform for environmental monitoring and remediation applications. These offer several advantages, including high surface area, enhanced sensitivity selectivity, non-intrusive analysis, rapid response times, robustness under harsh conditions, user-friendly handling. Abstract Heavy metal contaminants in vegetable oils can cause irreversible damage to human health. In this study, the quantitative detection of Cd was investigated based on Raman spectroscopy combined with chemometric methods. The necessary preprocessing signal performed using baseline calibration and Savitzky–Golay method. Three variable optimization methods were applied preprocessed spectra. Namely, bootstrap soft shrinkage, multiple feature spaces ensemble strategy least absolute shrinkage selection operator, competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (CARS), respectively. Partial squares regression (PLSR) modeling for determination oils. results show that three algorithms improved predictive performance model. Among them, CARS–PLSR model has strong generalization robustness. Its prediction coefficient () 0.9995, root mean square error 0.3533 mg/kg, relative deviation 44.3748, summary, rapid analysis contamination be realized chemometrics.

Raman spectroscopy is a powerful analytical technique based on the inelastic scattering of photons. Conventional macro-Raman spectrometers are suitable for mass analysis but often lack spatial resolution required to accurately examine microscopic regions interest. For this reason, development micro-Raman has been driven forward. However, even with spectrometers, high gain better insight into materials that provide low-intensity signals. Here, we show spectrometer implemented zoom lens technology. We found by replacing second collimating mirror in monochromator lens, spectral could be continuously adjusted at different factors, i.e., was achieved higher factor and lower factor. A quantitative performed analysed FWHM using Gaussian fit. Validation also comparing results obtained those high-grade laboratory spectrometer. ANOVA method assessing signal-to-noise ratio between two systems.

Two novel highly efficient polymer composite adsorbents based on 3-chloropropyltriethoxysilane-grafted waste para-aramid (PPTA-CP-AT and PPTA-CP-L, PPTA=poly-p-phenylene terephthamide; CP = 3-chloropropyltriethoxysilane; AT=amino trimethylene phosphonic acid; L=L-proline) have been successfully prepared characterized. The new were synthesized by functionalizing with amino acid L-proline, respectively. They employed to adsorb gold ions from aqueous solution, the relevant adsorption behaviors investigated in detail. isotherms of PPTA-CP-AT PPTA-CP-L consistent Langmuir isotherm model, corresponding kinetics could be best described pseudo-second-order kinetic model. In particular, capacity was much higher than values reported literature. addition, effect pH thermodynamic parameters procedure assessed. research results indicated that are two high efficiency wastewater treatment recovery precious gold. particular which obtained through facile esterification synthesis at low temperature, showed an excellent performance used as potentially adsorbent for uptake.
