Abstract Owing to the low potential (vs K/K + ), good cycling stability, and sustainability, carbon‐based materials stand out as one of optimal anode for potassium‐ion batteries (PIBs). However, achieving high‐rate performance excellent capacity with current is challenging because sluggish reaction kinetics anodes. The doping nitrogen proves be an effective way improve rate PIB anode. a review article lacking in systematically summarizing features functions types. In this sense, it necessary provide fundamental understanding doped types nitrogen‐doped(N‐doped) carbon materials. types, functions, applications nitrogen‐doped are overviewed review. Then, recent advances synthesis, properties, N‐doped both active modification PIBs summarized. Finally, nitrogen's main concluded, critical perspectives future research field outlined.
