This study with the aim of determining effect deficit irrigation and mulching on watermelon was conducted a preliminary experiment in form split plots design complete randomized blocks three replications, Research Education Center Agriculture Natural Resources south Kerman province (Jiroft), 2021-2022.Drip as main plot at levels 100, 70 50% water requirement crushed date palm leaf, black plastic no mulch, sub-plot, were considered. As results demonstrate, interaction effects treatments stem length, leaf area, yield, productivity, relative content, photosynthetic pigments, proline, total phenol, superoxide dismutase enzyme fruit length width significant. The internode membrane stability index vitamin C, percentage dry matter, branches, shape soluble solids significant.Fruit pH acidity, tasting lycopene not significantly affected by treatments. The highest yield (60.1 ton/ha) observed full productivity (15.1 kg/m 3 ) recorded 70% but significant difference leaves mulches. The findings showed that effectiveness mulch growth higher 100% compared to irrigation. The despite being superior control irrigation, had insignificant positive due its high sodium content (1800 mg/kg).

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPRs) represent a promising strategy for enhancing plant resilience and yields under drought-stress conditions. This study isolated characterized PGPR from wheat rhizosphere soil in Egypt. Four strains were evaluated an array of traits, including IAA production, biofilm formation, siderophore nitrogen fixation, ACC deaminase activity, phosphate solubilization, antagonistic potential. Molecular identification via 16S rRNA sequencing classified three isolates (MMH101, MMH102, MMH103) within the Bacillus genus one isolate (MMH104) as Myroides sp. Greenhouse experiments examined effects inoculation on drought-stressed Egyptian cultivar, Gimmeza-9. Wheat plants inoculated with showed dramatic improvements growth parameters stress tolerance indicators compared to non-inoculated controls when subjected 10-day drought period, rugosus (MMH101) resulting increases 61.8% fresh biomass, 77.2% dry 108.5% shoot length, 134.9% root length. treatments also elevated chlorophyll proline content while reducing malondialdehyde levels. The findings demonstrate effectiveness morphology, physiology, wheat. Isolated hold promise biofertilizers improving cereal productivity water-deficit

Currently, many techniques to alleviate the negative effects of water stress, specifically drought, on plants are frequently subject research. In this study, two different plant growth-promoting rhizobacterial (PGPR) species isolated from arid and semiarid areas whose activities under stress were determined in a preliminary study several physiological properties nutrient uptake watermelons grafted onto rootstocks investigated deficit irrigation. performance PGPRs (B1: Paenarthrobacter aurescens B2: Pseudarthrobacter polychromogenes) inoculated into ungrafted watermelon (R0 (Citrullus lanatus (Thumb.) Matsum Nakai cv. Crimson Tide, CT)) (R1: CT citron rootstock var. Citroides) R2: hybrid TZ-148 (Cucurbita maxima Duchesne × Cucurbita moschata Duchesne)) studied irrigation levels. Severe negatively affected characteristics, such as stomatal conductance (gs) photosynthesis efficiency (QPSII), plants. Moreover, contents leaf mineral nutrients N, P, K decreased significantly with increasing stress. On other hand, improved sweet terms macronutrients K, Mg micronutrients Fe Cu. drought-tolerant (R1 R2) used protected against by reducing gs compared that although rhizobacteria did not have significant effect gs, QPSII, or potential (LWP) watermelon, they enhanced minerals macro- soil Under full particularly irrigation, P. polychromogenes (B2) increased while (B1) Fe, Cu, Mn, B watermelons. Our results revealed these species, which areas, contribute grown

This review investigates the effects of heat and drought stress on future food security Turkish agriculture. Temperature average is expected to rise 3.2°C at end current century while annual precipitation will decline more than 10% in west south by 20% north Türkiye, implying that climate change affect ecosystem sustainability. It therefore crucial develop strategies mitigate adapt such as adjusting planting schedule, reduced tillage, fertiliser microdosing, pre-sowing seed treatment, application growth promoting bacteria improve tolerance comprehending how plants respond physiologically biochemically under these conditions. Long-term may hinder photosynthetic electron transport, decreasing plant's ability make use energy for photosynthesis. The immediate response involves closing stomatal openings reduce water loss through conductance. Combined have a greater adverse effect plant development production their isolation. Plant phenotyping can play major role “climate-proofing” agriculture identification crop varities with improved prouctivity, resilience input requirements. Digital also efficiency agricultural systems hotter drier climate. To ensure viability agro-economic system Türkiye steps must be taken robust preparation impacts change.
