Little information is available on the content of bisphenol A (BPA) and other endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) such as parabens in infant textiles clothes.1) To determine concentrations BPA socks for infants young children purchased Spain, 2) to assess (anti-)estrogenicity (anti-)androgenicity extracts from socks, 3) estimate dermal exposure doses these chemicals.Thirty-two pairs (1-48 months) were 3 stores Granada (Spain). Textile material was cut foot, toe, leg each sock (n = 96 samples) chemical analysis. Hormone-like activities determined foot sections 32 by using E-Screen assay PALM luciferase (anti-)androgenicity.BPA present 90.6% samples at ranging <0.70 3736 ng/g. levels around 25-fold higher store 1, which had a cotton compared 2 3. Ethyl-paraben found 100% samples, followed methyl-paraben (81.0%), propyl-paraben (43.7%). No butyl-paraben detected any sample. Estrogenic activity 83.3% 1 (range 48.2-6051 pM E2eq/g) but only three Anti-androgenic six studied 94.4-2989 μM Proceq/g), all 1. Estimated aged 36-48 months (median 17.6 pg/kg/day), 24-36 0.60 pg/kg/day).This first report Europe wide presence marketed children. appears contribute hormone-like observed extracts.

Abstract This study was performed to examine the transgenerational effects of bisphenol (BP) A analogs, BPE, and BPS on male reproductive functions using mice as a model. CD-1 (F0) were orally exposed control treatment (corn oil), BPA, or (0.5 50 µg/kg/day) from gestational day 7 (the presence vaginal plug = 1) birth. Mice F1 F2 offspring used generate F3 males. Prenatal exposure decreased sperm counts and/or motility disrupted progression germ cell development morphometric analyses exhibited an abnormal distribution stages spermatogenesis in Dysregulated serum levels estradiol-17β testosterone, well expression steroidogenic enzymes adult testis also observed. In neonatal testis, although apoptosis DNA damage not affected, mRNA methyltransferases, histone their associated factors increased by BP exposure. Furthermore, induced immunoreactive DNMT3A Sertoli cells, strengthened DNMT3B, weakened H3K9me2 H3K9me3 cells whereas DNMT1, H3K4me3, H3K27ac affected. stage-specific DNMT3B altered exposure, DNMT3A, H3K9me2, remained stable. These results suggest that prenatal induces probably due epigenetic modification following disruption DNMTs marks testis.
