Nanomaterial is an emerging material with potential technological impacts in various applications. It imposes great opportunities disciplines including wastewater remediation. Industrial generated anthropogenic activities and the most environmental threat that needs remediation to overcome damages, thereby reducing human risks. Currently, several treatment techniques are applied utilization of nanomaterials for pollutant removal technology. This evident publication trends field iron-based have been drastically increased. In this work, overview preparation nanoparticles, such as different polymorphs iron-oxides, oxyhydroxides, iron hydroxide, zero-valent nanoparticles reviewed. addition detailed discussion on their application waste water treatment, mechanisms, advantages, limitations also assessed discussed. Moreover, nanoparticles' efficiency specific pollutants perspective analyzed. Additionally, advancements future perspectives highlighted.
