This review emphasizes the significance of formulating control strategies for biological and advanced oxidation process (AOP)-based wastewater treatment systems. The aim is to guarantee that effluent quality continuously aligns with environmental regulations while operating costs are minimized. Cold plasma is a powerful and eco-friendly technology with potential applications in wastewater treatment, disinfection, sustainable agriculture. Reactive species produced by the cold discharge can effectively degrade variety of pollutants. This work focuses on microbubble-enhanced activation (MB-CPA) through self-suction mechanism for water treatment flow system. Microbubbles form under strong turbulence at throat cavitation tube, transferring active generated from air into stream. The degradation rate model antibiotic compound, sulfathiazole, compared varying dimensions water, distance between surface. width inlet tube found to be most important parameter efficiency. Three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics simulations reveal that higher volume fraction more bubbles are created wider inlet. proxy models using multiple linear regression an artificial neural network predict efficiency good agreement experimental data. optimized portable MB-CPA has broad agriculture, environmental remediation.

Organic pollution is a significant challenge in environmental protection, especially the discharge of refractory organic pollutants chemical production and domestic use. The biological treatment method traditional sewage plants cannot degrade such pollutants, which leads to continuous transfer these into water environment.
