Succinic acid (SA) is an intermediate product of the tricarboxylic cycle (TCA) and one most significant platform chemicals for production various derivatives with high added value. Due to depletion fossil raw materials demand eco-friendly energy sources, SA biosynthesis from renewable sources gaining attention its environmental friendliness. This review comprehensively analyzes strategies bioconversion lignocellulose based on pretreatment processes cellulose hydrolysis fermentation principles highlights research progress utilization under different microbial culture conditions. In addition, efficiency strains main challenges were analyzed. The future application directions pointed out. It expected that this will provide a reference optimization lignocellulose.

Abstract The rise of global waste and the decline fossil fuels are calling for recycling into energy materials. For example, rice straw, a by-product cultivation, can be converted biogas by-products with added value, e.g., biofertilizer, yet processing straw is limited by low content, high ash silica, nitrogen, moisture, high-quality variability. Here, we review focus on Chinese situations, conversion gas, digestate management, cogeneration, upgrading, bioeconomy, life cycle assessment. quality improved pretreatments, such as baling, ensiling, co-digestion other feedstocks. used to fertilize soils. average annual potential collectable lower heating value 15.35 megajoule/kilogram, over past ten years (2013–2022) could reach 2.41 × 10 9 megajoule.

Abstract Anaerobic digestion constitutes a sustainable method for waste management and renewable energy generation, addressing significant environmental societal challenges. The growing global crisis the increasing momentum toward solutions emphasize critical need to enhance anaerobic technology improved efficiency advantages. Here, we review principles biogas production, focusing on agricultural utilization framework. We specifically explore applications in rural industrial settings, assess impacts, discuss regulatory landscape with insights from China Europe. study reveals that strategic implementation can markedly improve yield sustainability, demonstrating how focused policies advanced technological practices optimize utilization. comprehension emphasizing Europe as key examples.
