The thoracic fraction of road dust (PM10) was measured for the first time in Portugal parking areas, both outdoors and indoors, with aim completing existing studies carried out active lanes various roads. Abstract Inhalation of particulate matter (PM) has been extensively associated with the worsening and onset cardiorespiratory diseases, being responsible for millions deaths annually. Assessment PM deposition in human respiratory tract is critical to better understand health risks from environmental exposure vulnerable age groups. In this study, 2.5 10 day-night monitoring campaigns during cold season were carried out Bragança, Portugal. Road dust resuspension in urban environments can be both a means of transport pollutants across the various environmental compartments and source itself, becoming potential threat to human health. With aim obtaining emission factors achieving detailed chemical characterisation road (RD) typical Portuguese cities, sampling campaign was performed region Aveiro. The distribution of daytime and nighttime sources PM10 collected from January to March 2021 at an urban background site in the city Bragança, Portugal, was performed using positive matrix factorisation (PMF). Additional data PM2.5, NOx meteorological variables were support interpretations. Wildfires are becoming increasingly frequent and severe, particularly in Southern Europe. In addition to their immediate environmental socioeconomic impacts, wildfires release significant amounts of particulate matter (PM), which poses serious health ecological risks. Gaseous (CO CO2) PM2.5 samples were collected directly from smoke plumes, the modified combustion efficiency (MCE) was calculated characterise conditions. This study aims assess cytotoxicity, mutagenicity ecotoxicity during Portugal, with a focus on how varying biomass types conditions impact these effects. Ulaanbaatar (capital of Mongolia) is struggling with serious air pollution. In the so-called ger districts city, approximately 60 % population live in traditional Mongolian dwellings called gers, mostly relying on coal for winter heating. This study investigates PAH concentrations and associated health risks 6 gers situated Songinokhairkhan district.
