As an organic herbicide widely used in agriculture, atrazine has the characteristics of environmental persistence, high mobility and long half-life period, posing potential risks to ecological environment. The materials commonly remove are powdered activated carbon its modified materials, which have problems such as difficulty recycling secondary contamination. In order solve above problems, this study, a new functional material EI-Zr@AC was prepared by immobilizing zirconium-modified powder (Zr@AC) alginate matrix via embedding immobilization (EI) technique, employed for removing water. At optimal preparation conditions 2.5% sodium alginate, 4.0% CaCl2, 1.0% Zr@AC 2.0% bentonite, beads had porosity, dense reticulation, large number groups with mechanical strength mass transfer properties. When solution pH 3.0, temperature 25°C, dosage 16 g/L, removal efficiency 91.9%. It showed that mainly chemisorption multimolecular layer adsorption. addition, could be recycled after simple method, at 5.0 mg/L still 55.5% five cycles, structure remained intact Zr ion leaching rate very low. results kind remediation application value.

Aquatic pesticide pollution is an important issue worldwide. Countries rely on monitoring programs to observe water bodies quality and models evaluate risks for entire stream networks. Measurements are typically sparse discontinuous which lead issues in quantifying transport at the catchment scale. Therefore, it essential assess performance of extrapolation approaches provide guidance how extend improve predictions. Here we present a feasibility study predict levels spatially explicit manner Swiss network based national program organic micropollutants 33 sites distributed explanatory variables. Firstly, focused limited set herbicides used corn crops. We observed significant relationship between herbicide concentrations areal fraction hydrologically connected cornfields. Neglecting connectivity revealed no influence coverage levels. Considering chemical properties compounds slightly improved correlation. Secondly, analysed 18 pesticides widely different crops monitored across country. In this case, fractions arable or crop lands showed correlations with average concentrations. Similar results were found annual discharge precipitation if two outlier neglected. The paper explained only about 30 % variance leaving most variability unexplained. Accordingly, extrapolating from existing river comes substantial uncertainty. The gold standard for recovering residual organochlorine pesticides from wastewater and other environmental matrices is the continuous liquid-liquid extraction (CLLE) technique that requires toxic CH2Cl2 as solvent at its refluxing temperature.
