Dissolved oxygen (DO) is an essential indicator for assessing water quality and managing aquatic environments, but it still a challenging topic to accurately understand predict the spatiotemporal variation of DO concentrations under complex effects different environmental factors. In this study, practical prediction framework was proposed based on support vector regression (SVR) model coupling multiple intelligence techniques (i.e., four data denoising techniques, three feature selection rules, hyperparameter optimization methods). Microbial nitrogen metabolism is a complicated and key process in mediating environmental pollution greenhouse gas emissions rivers. However, the interactive drivers of microbial rivers have not been identified. Here, we analyze patterns 105 China driven by 26 socioeconomic factors using an interpretable causal machine learning (ICML) framework. ICML better recognizes complex relationships between than traditional linear regression models. Furthermore, tipping points concentration windows were proposed to precisely regulate metabolism. For example, concentrations dissolved organic carbon (DOC) below 6.2 4.2 mg/L easily reduce bacterial denitrification nitrification, respectively. The for NO3–-N (15.9–18.0 mg/L) DOC (9.1–10.8 enabled highest abundance denitrifying bacteria on national scale. integration models field data clarifies important metabolism, supporting precise regulation river ecological management.
