The Dutch breeding population of the western black-tailed godwit Limosa limosa has declined substantially over recent decades. We carried out this study to identify contaminants present in adult birds population. analysed 11 liver samples from collected dead on their grounds SW Friesland 2016-2020. Six were extensive, herb-rich grasslands, five intensive grasslands. LC and GC wide-scope target analysis more than 2400 substances, suspect screening for 60,000 four metals (Cd, Hg, Ni Pb), OFPRs, dechlorane plus compounds Water Framework Directive PBDEs, bioassay PCDDs, PCDFs dioxin-like PCBs. Abstract Fourteen legacy organochlorine (OC) contaminants and 12 perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) were measured in eggs of tawny owls (Strix alueco) central Norway (1986–2019). We expected OCs to have reached stable equilibrium levels due bans, that recent phase-out some PFASs would slowed the increase these compounds. ∑OC comprised on average approximately 92% compounds, whereas ∑PFAS accounted for 8%.
