Currently, water pollution represents a serious environmental threat, causing an impact not only to fauna and flora but also human health. Among these pollutants, inorganic organic pollutants are predominantly important representing high toxicity persistence being difficult treat using current methodologies. For this reason, several research groups searching for strategies detect remedy contaminated bodies effluents. Due the above, review of state situation has been carried out. In this study, the pollution levels of Alibeykoy Dam Lake were assessed by examining phytoplankton distribution, physicochemical parameters, nutrient content, and heavy metal concentrations. is a critical drinking water source for Istanbul metropolitan area. Water samples collected from lake six influent streams (Cebeci, Pirincci, Sidan, Bolluca, Gulgen, Kocaman) in January, February, May, September 2021. A total 36 taxa seven divisions identified, including Bacillariophyta (14), Charophyta (2), Chlorophyta (9), Cryptophyta (1), Cyanobacteria (3), Euglenozoa (4), Miozoa (3). Diatoms found to be dominant group terms species richness abundance. The recorded each site as follows: Microcystis aeruginosa Sidan Creek, Cyclotella ocellata Cebeci Gulgen Creeks, Scenedesmus sp. Pirincci Navicula cryptocephala Bolluca Sphaerocystis planctonica Kocaman Creek. Mesotrophic eutrophic suggested that nearing conditions.
