Agricultural systems in the EU have become more vulnerable and less sustainable due to an overreliance on herbicides tremendous increase herbicide-resistant weeds. The Green Deal aims reduce use risk of chemical pesticides by 50% 2030, although it is still undefined whether a reduction herbicide could be feasible different farming situations. This review provide holistic framework for crop weed management input ensure protection. Current future dilemmas policies that need handled agroecological transition EU’s agricultural are also discussed. integration non-chemical alternatives integrated includes novel cultivation techniques (e.g., intercropping, false seedbed, reduced tillage, rotation diversification, adjustments sowing densities dates), tools flaming, seed coating, beneficial microorganisms, mechanical weeding, biocontrol agents natural herbicides), competitive plant material (hybrids cultivars, cover crops, service crops), new technologies precision agriculture Decision Support Systems, robots, remote sensing, UAVs, omics nanotechnology). Advancements in chemical, medical, cosmetic, and plastic producing industries have improved agricultural yields, health human life general. As a negative consequence, plethora of chemicals are intentionally unintentionally released to terrestrial aquatic environments with sometimes devastating effects for entire ecosystems. One mitigation strategy counteract this pollution is bioremediation. Bioremediation an umbrella term biologically mediated processes during which undesired compound transformed, degraded, sequestered and/or entirely removed from the ecosystem. Organisms across all domains may mediate bioremediation; yet, fungi particularly promising candidates. They possess metabolic capabilities break down complex molecules make ultimate degraders recalcitrant organic matter nature. by fungi, also termed mycoremediation, has been more frequently investigated than ecosystems, although thrive lacustrine marine environments. Here, we focus on mycoremediation emerging pollutants In context, draw parallels between fungal taxa, their role mycoremediation. We discuss ability break-down (i) pesticides, (ii) pharmaceuticals personal care products, (iii) plastics, both conventional types (iv) bioplastics, role, (v) heavy metal pollution. Abstract The sustainable management of the environment and crop production in modern agriculture involves dealing with challenges from climate change, environmental pollution, depletion natural resources, as well pressure to cope dependence on agricultural inputs. Balancing productivity sustainability is one main for worldwide. emergence weeds resistant synthetic herbicides generates huge economic losses, so unconventional weed control strategies, especially those based ecological principles, are very much needed agriculture. Incorporating a eco-friendly approach—allelopathy—as tool an integrated plan by growing specific crops or spraying fields extracts containing allelopathic compounds can significantly reduce use herbicides. Allelopathy considered multi-dimensional phenomenon occurring constantly anthropogenic ecosystems, which organism produces biochemicals that influence growth, survival, development, reproduction other organisms. objective this systematic literature review present comprehensive overview allelopathy, define phenomenon, classify allelochemicals. This paper also discusses highlights recent advances, ongoing research, prospects plant allelopathy practices applied agriculture, underlying mechanisms. suggested holistic view some allelochemicals approach important contribution future research directions multidisciplinary programs, chemoinformatic tools, novel biotechnology methods breeding.

Unscientific application of insecticides has led to severe resistance pests almost all classes insecticides. Enhanced detoxification is the most common mechanism for this kind resistance. Object: Fall armyworm (FAW) developed insecticide resistance, which often linked overexpression genes. Herein, a multicomponent nano-pesticide designed increase its broad-spectrum susceptibility toward Regulatory function nuclear factor erythroid 2-related 2 (Nrf2) in was confirmed using transcriptome sequencing, quantitative real-time PCR and enzyme activity measurement. A star polycation (SPc) adopted construct pesticide/SPc/complex, whose self-assembly characterization were examined isothermal titration calorimetry, dynamic light scattering transmission electron microscope. The delivery efficiency SPc-loaded dsRNA vitro vivo fluorescent tracer technique. created through integration bacterial expression system nano-delivery system, bioactivity tested laboratory field. We crucial role Nrf2 regulating FAW, silencing could decrease gene susceptibility. then applied SPc self-assemble nanoplatform delivering double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) pesticide simultaneously. Nano-sized pesticide/SPc/dsRNA complex exhibited high vivo. Excitingly, insecticidal activities pesticide/SPc/dsNrf2 complexes remarkably improved with normalized synergistic ratios 5.43-6.25 chlorantraniliprole, 4.45-15.00 emamectin benzoate, 6.75-15.00 spinetoram. Finally, we (pesticide/SPc/dsNrf2 complex) system. This approach excellent leaf protection pest control efficacy. between nanometerization improvement offers promising strategy activity. Our study provides revolutionary universal decease doses.
