The toxicity and persistence of heavy metals has become a serious problem for humans. These accumulate mainly in wastewater from various industries’ discharged effluents. recent trends research are now focused not only on the removal efficiency toxic metal particles, but also their effective reuse as catalysts. This review discusses types obtained recovery through commonly practiced physico-chemical pathways. In addition, it covers advantages new system capturing wastewater, compared to older conventional technologies. discussion includes structural aspects trapping systems hypothesized mechanistic approaches immobilization further rejuvenation Finally, concludes with challenges future prospects this help protect ecosystem.
