The Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou (SWC) metropolitan area, China. Urban expansion is a natural product of growing cities at the expense river systems. In this study, we evaluated system changes that come with urban on grid scale. We also utilized spatial analysis models to examine impact changes. Our results indicate in area had similar pattern from 1960s 2010s, Changzhou, Wuxi, and Suzhou losing 45.8%, 32.3%, 42.2% their rivers, respectively. A negative correlation was detected between (UEA) density variation (∆Rd). During rapid period, ∆Rd significantly decreased as UEA increased. then identified dependence spillover effect expansion. our analysis, degraded result both in-situ location neighboring locations. has seen significant due impervious areas infrastructures caused by expansion; thus, an appropriate development required mitigate effects loss.
