Different groups of organic micropollutants including pharmaceuticals and pesticides have emerged in the environment last years, resulting a rise environmental human health risks. In order to face up evaluate these risks, there is an increasing need assess their occurrence environment. Therefore, many studies past couple decades were focused on improvements micropollutants' extraction efficiency from different matrices, as well mass spectrometry detection parameters acquisition modes. This paper presents sampling methodologies high-resolution spectrometry-based non-target screening workflows for identification pharmaceuticals, pesticides, transformation products kinds water (domestic wastewater river water). Identification confidence was increased retention time prediction workflow. The applied methodology, using passive technique, allowed 85 47 contaminants effluent water, respectively. Finally, contaminants' prioritization performed through semi-quantification grab samples fundamental step monitoring schemes.

In the last decades, pharmaceuticals have emerged as a new class of environmental contaminants. Antihypertensives, including angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, are special concern due to their increased consumption over past years. However, available data on putative effects health aquatic animals, well possible interaction with biological systems still poorly understood. This study analysed whether and which extent exposure Enalapril, an ACE inhibitor commonly used for treating hypertension heart failure, may induce morpho-functional alterations in mussel Mytilus galloprovincialis, sentinel organism water pollution.
