In Finland, peatland forests are significant for wood supply, although simultaneously, they also important biodiversity, carbon sequestration, water conservation, and recreation. the 1960s 1970s, in Finland were extensively drained to increase tree growth fulfil needs of forest sector. However, this extensive drainage has negatively impacted on biodiversity ecosystems, substantially increased nutrient sediment emissions lakes rivers resulting eutrophication, turbidity, brownification these bodies. This dissertation presents a number approaches move management more environmentally sound direction, which may general acceptability forestry. Airborne LiDAR (Light detection ranging, i.e., laser scanning) derived 3D point cloud provides useful data, example, estimate biomass, identify low-productive forests, model overland flows, wet areas. 1. Wetlands belong to the globally most threatened habitats, and organisms depending on them are of conservation concern. Wetland destruction quality loss may affect negatively also boreal breeding ducks in which habitat selection often needs balancing between important determinants suitability. In Finland duck population trajectories habitat-specific, while reasons behind not known. 2. this research, balance nest predation risk invertebrate food abundance was studied at 45 lakes ponds 2017 2018. Nest experiments were conducted with artificial nests followed by wildlife cameras during seven days. Invertebrates sampled from study water bodies using emergence activity traps. Duck pairs broods surveyed these 18 additional bodies. 3. The camera results indicate that higher surrounded agricultural land than forestland. Ponds (seasonal, beaver man-made) had lower they more invertebrate-rich habitats permanent lakes. addition, further away survival shoreline nests. Habitat use (prior nesting) associated food, but preferred rich food. 4. High pressure shorelines especially landscapes contribute declining trends Finland. Controlling predators would be an action improve success. This research underlines benefits availability different body types for ducks. There is urgent need pay attention protecting seasonal ponds, lack flooded waters mitigated favouring beavers or man-made ponds.

Abstract Tuticorin area is populated with a large number of chemical industries and thermal power plants which contribute to changes in physicochemical characteristics the coastal waters. Long term monitoring required order understand fluctuating trends water quality this area. The present study aimed monitor at from 2012 2017. Sample collection was conducted for all seasons each year throughout period variations water. A regression trend line plotted based on data enables us that deteriorating Such long studies are essential determine actual fate any Currently yet be termed as polluted; however measures must taken reduce discharge pollutants.

Background: With the growing concern over impacts of environmental pollution on marine life, this study addresses critical issue neoplastic growth in fish populations. The increasing prevalence tumors due to contaminated environments has raised alarms about ecosystem health and public implications. Objective: primary objective research was assess seasonal variation populations, particularly focusing impact pollution. Methods: Fish specimens were collected from various markets examined for growth. employed observational techniques, statistical analyses including ANOVA Duncan's Multiple Range Test, assessed variations January 2019 December 2022. Results: A total 2,373 examined, with 193 cases identified, indicating a substantial tumors. analysis revealed significant tumor prevalence, notable correlation factors. Conclusion: concludes that significantly This profound implications ecology health, emphasizing need effective management control measures.
