Abstract Agro seeds are vulnerable to environmental stressors, adversely affecting seed vigor, crop growth, and productivity. Different agrochemical-based treatments enhance germination, but they can also cause damage the environment; therefore, sustainable technologies such as nano-based agrochemicals urgently needed. Nanoagrochemicals reduce dose-dependent toxicity of treatment, thereby improving viability ensuring controlled release nanoagrochemical active ingredients However, applications nanoagrochemicals plants in field raise concerns about nanomaterial safety, exposure levels, toxicological implications environment human health. In present comprehensive review, development, scope, challenges, risk assessments on treatment discussed.
