Flood disasters rank as the most prevalent natural calamities of twenty-first century, incurring extensive human and economic losses globally. As a crucial source for disaster monitoring, social media data exhibits high variability ambiguity, with current research lacking targeted multidimensional semantic analysis, resulting in coarse granularity limited accuracy. To address this problem, study proposes framework method synthesizing multiple features to extract fine-grained information. Static embeddings representing stable semantics dynamic changing are fused toponyms, depth-first search used generate addresses through toponym tree. Guiding prompts incorporating domain-specific knowledge designed large language model, an iterative feedback process refining location-based Finally, reliability media-sourced information is assessed by comparing extracted flooded locations actual monitoring data. The case on Zhengzhou '7·20' flood event demonstrates effectiveness our fusion approach, achieving F1 score 0.9384 extraction, accuracies 0.8485 0.8788 waterlogging depth trapped individuals, respectively. This offers practical nuanced perception timely rescue operations urban management.

Abstract Drywells, perforated above the water table, are an attractive tool for both reducing risk of floods, and increasing groundwater recharge in urban\suburban areas. Various simplifications relationship between injection discharge (Q) water‐level rise drywell during (H) available. This work presents observations models that improve our understanding performance, namely ratio Q/H injections varying time dynamics. The screen is at 22–27 m below surface sandy porous medium, where table 40 depth. first set were six tests constant Q, each lasting ∼30 min, performed on a daily basis. just before end decreased day. A simplified infiltration model assuming radial sharp‐wetting‐front with increase distance wetting front from well fits observations. three‐dimensional variably saturated numerical flow simulating events showed sharp radius reasonable simplification this type schedule. Monitoring operational rainwater harvested adjacent rooftop few months Mediterranean winter shows opposite—a slight as progresses. When plume relatively high pressure‐head reaches water‐table, continuous passage higher hydraulic conductivity aquifer opened, expected to increase.

The present study examines perceptions and preparedness for flooding in Greece, a country increasingly impacted by natural hazards, particularly due to the effects of climate change. Despite frequent occurrence floods, public remains insufficient many areas. Through survey 1282 respondents from various regions Greece using R statistical software process analyse data, research explores relationship between individual flood risk perceptions, prior experiences, household-level preparedness. findings show most participants are aware governmental plans, but significant gap exists perceived risks actual preparedness, especially regarding insurance relocation willingness. reveal that majority management plans; however, outcomes concerning willingness relocate highlight efforts. Many expressed dissatisfaction with current measures address risks, leading diminished trust respective authorities. To enhance awareness engagement underscores importance localized communication strategies tailored different demographic groups. Given observed efforts should focus on bridging this disconnect through practical, community-driven initiatives. Recommendations include implementing targeted campaigns, promoting government transparent policies, providing financial incentives such as subsidized encourage protective actions, and, additionally, fostering community involvement disaster management, historically flood-prone regions, strengthen resilience against future events.

Driven by climate change and rapid urbanization, pluvial flooding is increasingly endangering urban environments, prompting the widespread use of coupled hydrological–hydrodynamic models that enable more accurate flood simulations enhanced forecasting. The simulation method for river caused heavy rainfall has garnered growing attention. However, existing studies primarily concentrate on prediction using hydrodynamic or machine learning models, there remains a dearth comprehensive framework couples both to simulate temporal evolution changes. This research proposes novel simulating integrating physically based with deep approaches. sample set through data augmentation Generative Adversarial Networks, scheduling control signals are incorporated into encoder–decoder architecture results demonstrate strong model performance, provided model’s structural complexity aligned available training data. After incorporating information, simulated water level process exhibits “double-peak” pattern, where first peak noticeably lower than under non-scheduling conditions. current introduces an innovative analyzing large-scale flooding, offering valuable perspectives planning mitigation strategies.
