Biochar made from agricultural waste products can be used as a low-cost adsorbent targeting dissolved organic matter (DOM). In water treatment plant (WTP), DOM reacts with chlorine-based disinfectant and forms carcinogenic disinfection by-products. Abstract This study aimed to develop and implement a fuzzy logic controlled-intelligent air purifier/humidifier. The concepts of passive purification evaporative humidification were used build this device, engineering ideas theories guide the development electrical mechanical systems. Additionally, controller was designed, built integrated into purifier/humidifier device help with its operation. It does by analysing input signals from all sensors (dust, volatile organic compound gas, humidity water level) activating actuators (suction blow fan). On Arduino IDE, C/C++ programming code developed uploaded onto Uno R3 board, which houses ATmega328P microcontroller processor. In estimating clean delivery rate (CADR), noise level moisture rate, performance assessed. systems’ power consumption controller’s ease use each light room capacity taken consideration, findings obtained demonstrated that proposed satisfies minimum standard requirement CADR 140m3/hr. outcome also revealed designed device’s is lower than typical threshold for an purifier, less 40 db. after 68 minutes, raised in controlled area 21% 40%.
