Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) has extensive applications in various fields; its release into ecosystems and the potential toxic effects on organisms are becoming major concerns. Here, we investigated of TBBPA anaerobic digestion, whose process is closely related to carbon cycles under conditions. The results revealed that exhibited dose-dependent hormesis-like methane production from glucose, i.e., presence 0.1 mg/L increased rate by 8.79%, but 1.0-4.0 caused 3.45-28.98% decrement. We found was bound tyrosine-like proteins extracellular polymeric substances anaerobes induced increase reactive oxygen species, slight accumulation stimulated metabolism activities high apoptosis anaerobes. Owing differences between individual tolerance, at acidogenesis hydrogenotrophic methanogenesis, whereas higher levels (i.e., mg/L) severely restrained all processes acidogenesis, acetogenesis, methanogenesis. Along with bisphenol (BPA) produced Longilinea sp. Pseudomonas sp., methanogenic pathway partly shifted acetate-dependent hydrogen-dependent direction, monoxide dehydrogenase acetyl-CoA decarbonylase/synthase were inhibited, while acetate kinase F420 hormetically affected. These findings elucidated mechanism syntrophic consortium responses TBBPA, supplementing environmental risks brominated flame retardants.

Abstract Studies on insecticide-induced stimulatory effects in pest insects have become of utmost importance due to their potential implications management. Temperature influences the physiology and biology ectothermic organisms like insects. It can also affect toxicity relative efficacy insecticides that are used agricultural fields. However, impact temperature insect responses after exposure mild stresses has frequently been overlooked. Here, we investigated how different levels (15; 20; 25; 28 °C) modulate two synthetic chlorpyrifos (organophosphate) deltamethrin pyrethroid); subsequently impacts survival reproduction green peach aphid Myzus persicae exposed sublethal concentrations insecticides. Our findings indicated temperature-dependent chemicals mortality, longevity, number nymphs produced by aphids lethal exposures. In fact, besides high induced at lower concentrations, change’s magnitude occurrence varied between temperatures depended faced females. increase from 15 °C increased 4 fivefold. Agricultural insect pests display an exceptional ability to adapt quickly natural and anthropogenic stressors. Emerging evidence suggests that frequent varied sources of stress play important role in driving protective physiological responses; therefore, intensively managed agroecosystems combined with climatic shifts might be ideal crucible for adaptation. Cross-protection, where responses one stressor offers protection against another type stressor, has been well documented many species, yet the molecular epigenetic underpinnings drive overlapping remain unclear. In this perspective, we discuss cross-protection mechanisms provide argument its potential increasing tolerance a wide range stressors agricultural pests. By drawing from existing literature on single multiple studies, outline processes facilitate cross-protective interactions, including modifications, which are understudied responses. Finally, implications pest management, focusing consequences between insecticides elevated temperatures associated climate change.
