High-quality limestone, as a nonrenewable resource, is decreasing with the maintenance and construction of asphalt pavements. Meanwhile, due to growth shell farming industry, great amount waste shells produced annually, which are mainly disposed in manner stacking, landfill, or discarding into sea directly, leading serious environmental pollution. This research used mussel, pectinid, oncomelania, oyster raw materials prepare four fillers, aiming at substituting mineral resources recycling same time. The mastics were prepared by mixing base SBS-modified fillers under different filler-asphalt ratios, respectively, limestone adopted control groups. physical rheological properties five evaluated, chemical composition microstructure measured investigate acting mechanism between asphalt. Results indicate that have lower density, hydrophilicity coefficient, higher specific surface area than exhibiting better compatibility For properties, both modified mastics, pectinid exhibit lowest penetration phase angle, while their complex modulus softening point highest among types indicating antideformation ability. Moreover, increasing ratio, ability mastic increases gradually, exhibits more behavior. In addition, analysis results demonstrate looser structure attributed interlaced layered aragonite calcite, larger contact Besides, there some organic matter present shell, plays role like modification, improving presence show synergistic effect road performance mastic. work verifies feasibility replace conventional beneficial recycle reduce consumption resources.
