Microplastics are pollutants of serious environmental and public health concern. Although predominantly known to occur in biological matrices, emerging scientific evidence has indicated that they can also fecal matter. Animal manure, both raw treated, is usually applied on farmlands as organic fertilizer, serving an entry point microplastic particles into agricultural soil. The present study analyzes the literature occurrence microplastics (sources analytical methods detection livestock poultry manure), their toxicodynamic, toxicokinetics endpoints farm animals. Based studies examined herein, there a lack harmonization sampling, digestion, extraction procedures for animal manure. abundance was 9.02 × 102 ± 1.29 103 particles/kg-1 pig, 7.40 101 cow, 0 5000 particles/kg−1 sheep, 129.8 82.3 particles/g−1 (0.1298 particles/kg) chicken have been found manure were primarily ingested from microplastics-contaminated feed plastic mulching film attached crop residues. However, other likely sources (e.g., water, soil, air) need be studied carefully. Despite limited fate weight currently available shows exhibit different characteristics during treatment previous all based composting experiments. Therefore, research required profound sense better understanding influence physicochemical properties (shape, size, type, composition) treatment. Moreover, exposure animals revealed several toxicological effects but more needed clearly understand dose-response relationship, absorption, distribution, metabolism, elimination mechanisms with respect factors (microplastic sizes, shapes, polymers, types additive, co-contaminants).

Microplastics (MPs) are plastic particles between 0.1 and 5000 µm in size that have attracted considerable attention from the scientific community general public, as they threaten environment. contribute to various harmful effects, including lipid peroxidation, DNA damage, activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase pathways, cell membrane breakages, mitochondrial dysfunction, lysosomal defects, inflammation, apoptosis. They affect cells, tissues, organs, overall health, potentially contributing conditions like cancer cardiovascular disease. pose a significant danger due their widespread occurrence food. In recent years, information has emerged indicating MPs can cause oxidative stress (OS), known factor accelerating aging organisms. This comprehensive evaluation exposed notable variability reported connection OS. work aims provide critical review whether harmfulness constitute environmental contaminants may result OS through analysis research existing literature, well an assessment characteristics causing Additionally, article covers analytical methodology used this field. Several cardiovascular illnesses are associated with aberrant activation of cellular pyroptosis, ferroptosis, necroptosis, cuproptosis, disulfidptosis and macrophage polarisation as hallmarks contributing to vascular damage abnormal cardiac function. Meanwhile, these three novel forms dysfunction closely related mitochondrial homeostasis. Mitochondria the main organelles that supply energy maintain Mitochondrial stability is maintained through a series regulatory pathways, such fission, fusion mitophagy. Studies have shown (e.g., impaired dynamics mitophagy) promotes ROS production, leading oxidative stress, which induces M1 phenotypic polarisation. Therefore, an in-depth knowledge dynamic regulation mitochondria during necessary understand disease development. This paper systematically summarises impact changes in mitophagy on regulating dysfunctions promote understanding pathogenesis diseases provide corresponding theoretical references for treating diseases.

Abstract Immunotherapy has now garnered significant attention as an essential component in cancer therapy during this new era. However, due to immune tolerance, immunosuppressive environment, tumor heterogeneity, escape, and other factors, the efficacy of immunotherapy been limited with its application very small population size. Energy metabolism not only affects progression but also plays a crucial role escape. Tumor cells are more metabolically active need energy nutrients maintain their growth, which causes surrounding lack glucose, oxygen, nutrients, result decreased cell activity increased cells. On hand, utilize multiple metabolic pathways, for instance, cellular respiration, oxidative phosphorylation pathways normal function. Studies have shown that there is difference expenditure resting activated states. Notably, competitive uptake glucose main cause impaired T Conversely, glutamine competition often activation most transformation CD4 + into inflammatory subtypes. Excessive metabolite lactate impairs function NK Furthermore, PGE2 inhibits response by inhibiting Th1 differentiation, B function, activation. Additionally, tumor-suppressive M1 macrophages cancer-promoting M2 influenced metabolism. Therefore, vital factor involved reconstruction microenvironment. Noteworthy does program affect antigen presentation recognition cells, own functions, ultimately leading changes Metabolic intervention can improve tumors, increase immunogenicity thereby expanding who benefit from immunotherapy. Consequently, identifying crosstalk molecules link microenvironment would be promising anti-tumor strategy. AMPK (AMP-activated protein kinase) ubiquitous serine/threonine kinase eukaryotes, serving central regulator pathways. The sequential associated signaling cascades profoundly impacts dynamic alterations bioenergetics. By modulating responses, exerts influence on development, while playing pivotal regulating AMPK-mediated facilitates recruitment (TIME), impeding tumorigenesis, progression, metastasis. AMPK, between homeostasis, bioenergetics, immunity, will impact treatment management oncology patients. That being summarized, objective review pinpoint provide guidance development strategies.

As the production, usage, and disposal of plastics increase, microplastics generated—plastic particles smaller than 5 mm—increases, exacerbating environmental pollution. In turn, various organisms become increasingly exposed to contaminated environments, potentially affecting humans through food chain. Crucial findings from in vivo experiments indicate histopathological changes caused by impact morphology physiological function organisms. This study describes induced across circulatory, nervous, digestive, respiratory, reproductive systems explains associated functional alterations. Except nervous system, main morphological involve degenerative throughout body, such as apoptosis, inflammation, fibrosis. Most were inflammatory responses microplastics, leading fibrosis subsequent impairments. Various studies confirm that stimulate cells, increased reactive oxygen species cell death. Consequently, these impair related systemic functions. review highlights fundamental organs cells due discusses limitations involving showing no changes.

Perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), a fluorine-containing organic compound, can be widely detected in the environment and living organisms. Accumulating evidence has shown that PFOS breaks through different biological barriers resulting cardiac toxicity, but underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear. Cannabidiol (CBD) is nonpsychoactive cannabinoid without potential adverse cardiotoxicity antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties reduce multiorgan damage dysfunction. For these reasons, aim of this study was to research how caused heart injury whether CBD could attenuate PFOS-induced injury. Mice were fed (5 mg/kg) and/or (10 vivo. In vitro, H9C2 cells intervened with (200 μM) μM). After exposure, oxidative stress levels mRNA protein expression apoptosis-related markers increased distinctly, accompanied by mitochondrial dynamic imbalance energy metabolism disorders mouse cells. Moreover, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling staining, acridine orange/ethidium bromide staining Hoechst 33258 signaled number apoptotic after exposure PFOS. Noteworthy, simultaneous treatment alleviated series damages PFOS-mediated stress. Our results demonstrated alleviate dynamics disorder causing cardiomyocyte apoptosis improving capacity, suggesting may represent novel cardioprotective strategy against cardiotoxicity. findings facilitate understanding cardiotoxic effects important role protecting health.
