Currently, straw biodegradation and soil improvement in rice-mushroom rotation systems have attracted much attention. However, there is still a lack of studies on the effects yield, properties microbial succession. In this study, no treatment (CK), green manure return (GM) rice (RS) were used as controls to fully evaluate effect Stropharia rugosoannulata cultivation substrate (SRS) microorganisms. The results indicated that nutrient (organic matter, organic carbon, total nitrogen, available nitrogen potassium) enzyme (urease, saccharase, lignin peroxidase laccase) activities had positive responses rotation. At interannual level, diversity varied significantly among treatments, with increasing relative alpha index bacteria enriching beneficial communities such Rhizobium, Bacillus Trichoderma for growth. Soil nutrients enzymatic correlated during fungal-bacterial co-occurrence networks modular, Latescibacterota, Chloroflexi, Gemmatimonadota Patescibacteria closely related accumulation soil. structural equation model (SEM) showed fungal responded more changes than did bacterial diversity. Overall, improved yields, enriched microorganisms maintained This study provides new insights into use S. substrates sustainable development agroecosystems.

Commercial cultivation of edible mushrooms utilizes a large amount lignocellulosic material as substrate. After harvest, the leftover substrate, referred to spent mushroom substrate (SMS), largely remains biochemically unaltered. In light global rise in number production facilities, it is pertinent sustainably manage by-products process, particularly SMS. Following principles circular economy, SMS has shown potential for variety applications: can be used new cycle or animal feed, fertilizer, soil amendment, bioremediation agent renewable energy such biogas, bioethanol, biohydrogen, solid biofuel, bio-crude and bio-oil. This article summarizes current state knowledge various applications, highlights recent developments field, discusses barriers offers suggestions long-term growth industry worldwide.

Contamination of heavy metal(loid) in soils is a global problem. Various remediation technologies have thus been applied to mitigate the ecological and health risk metal(loid)s contaminated soils. Majority review studies mainly focus on mobility or accumulation metal(loid)s, but little attention has paid alteration soil fertility (e.g. nutrient, structure enzyme activities) which are most closely related plant growth during process. Here, we summarized influence physical, chemical biological fertility, they indicated that: (1) thermal treatment washing usually decreased nutrients activities, as well deteriorated structure; (2) improved microorganism decrease through nutrient uptake by plants cannot be ignored; (3) amendments displayed various depended their properties; (4) combination multiple could neutralize negative single technology fertility. In future, both toxicity improve more recommended.

In this study, we established a feasible fertilization programming method for wheat production by exploring the effects of combined application chemical and organic fertilizers on yield, nutrient uptake, soil content, fertilizer utilization. Six treatments, no (CK), conventional (CF), optimized (with reduced amount) (RF), with extract (RPAE), partial replacement raw amino acid powder (RAF), humic (RHF), were set up field experiment. The rates RF treatment calculated based fertilization-monitoring techniques (30.3% nitrogen 24.8% phosphorus reductions in 2022 23.0% 1.5% 2023). different treatments dry matter accumulation, plant nutrients, utilization investigated. results showed that, basis 23% reductions, there was significant difference yield between CF that rate improved. promoted accumulation organs wheat; increased accumulation; improved rate, productivity, agronomic use efficiency; ensured stable crop yield. Specifically, compared CF, RPAE, RAF, RHF 3.85%, 1.97%, 0.67%, respectively, induced these significantly 40.46%, 39.28%, 37.46% (nitrogen) 9.83%, 8.91%, 7.46% (phosphorus), respectively. As result our experiment, concluded RPAE exerted best among three (RPAE, RHF) its can higher drip-irrigated fields. study provide theoretical fertilizers, which is conducive to sustainable agriculture development.

The addition of soil amendments and plants in heavy metal-contaminated can result a significant impact on physicochemical properties, microbial communities metal distribution, but the specific mechanisms remain to be explored. In this study, Koelreuteria paniculata was used as test plant, spent mushroom compost (SMC) attapulgite (ATP) were amendments, manganese slag substrate. CK (100% slag), M0 (90% + 5% SMC ATP) M1 ATP, planting K. paniculata) groups assessed pilot-scale experiment explore their different impacts phytoremediation. results indicated that adding significantly improved pH slag, enhancing maintaining its fertility water retention. Mushrooms offer promising solution because their value ability to be grown from agricultural residues, in line with circular economy. This study, therefore, focuses on assessing environmental compatibility Agaricus bisporus mushroom production Italy, world's third largest per capita consumer, by using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) an integrated Water-Energy-Nitrogen-Carbon-Food (WENCF) nexus analysis. The LCA results reveal that for functional unit 23,000 kg substrate, process emits 2.55 × 104 CO2 eq. Sensitivity analysis shows changing input quantities can reduce impacts about 5 %. In addition, one scenario evaluates effects recycling resources introducing water ammonium sulfate scratch instead continuous recycling, along purification. study sustainable food mitigate resource depletion, climate-altering emissions, intersectoral competition. Amomum villosum Lour. fruit is a common healthy food widely cultivated in southern China. Heavy metal contamination of farmland soils has becomes serious environmental concern metals soil can be introduced into the chain and pose health risks to humans. However, microbial communities may play beneficial roles plants grown metal-polluted soils. This study aimed assess potential heavy A. fruits from different production areas explore soil-microbe-plant regulation pattern for fruits. Soil samples were collected nine planting fields four provinces The results showed that seven polluted with degrees.
