Since the phase-out of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), large amounts alternative halogenated flame retardants (AHFRs) have been introduced to market. Due their persistence and toxicity, (HFRs) become a concern for ecosystem human health. However, there remains limited assessment atmospheric loadings, sources, environmental fate HFRs in Lake Ontario, which receives urban-related inputs cumulative chemical from upstream Great Lakes Canada United States. Exploring the toxicity and evaluating risks of pollutants to ecosystems human health is an important task environmental science in twenty-first century. Psoriasis risk can be affected by exposure to mixtures of environmental chemicals; however, the effect brominated flame retardants (BFRs) on self-reported psoriasis has not been assessed. Herein, we evaluated association between BFRs compounds 6 chemicals with psoriasis. Based data from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2003-2006 2009-2014, this analysis was conducted among 6340 adults. Multivariable logistic regression, restricted cubic splines (RCS), weighted quantile sum (WQS) quantile-based g computation (Qgcomp) Bayesian kernel machine regression (BKMR) models were performed estimate associations. Abstract Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) has been widely used in various industries for its excellent flexibility and corrosion resistance. However, high flammability poses significant safety risks, necessitating the incorporation of flame‐retardants to improve fire This study focuses on wet surface modification magnesium hydroxide (MH) using n‐octyl triethoxysilane (OTES). The hydrolysis products OTES react with OH MH form SiOMg bonds, thereby enhancing hydrophobicity compatibility EVA. MMH was incorporated into EVA, resulting composites were characterized XRD, SEM, TG, BET, FT‐IR, XPS. optimal conditions achieved an dosage 3 wt% at 45 °C 60 min, yielding a contact angle 142°, activation index 98.12%, oil absorption rate 43 mL/100 g. EVA/MMH demonstrated superior thermal stability flame retardancy compared unmodified Specifically, limiting oxygen (LOI) EVA/MMH‐55 reached 34.9%, it UL‐94 V‐0 rating, indicating self‐extinguishing properties. provides novel approach MH, offering practical solution enhance EVA composites. Abstract Handling the waste associated with halogenated polymers is a daunting task due to well‐documented emission of halogen‐bearing toxicants during disposal or recycling operation. According Stockholm Convention treaty, most these products are classified as persistent organic pollutants their potential health hazards. In this study, zeolites prepared by the hydrothermal method from Ecuadorian clay were combined with precursor and semiconductor ZnTiO3/TiO2 sol-gel to adsorb photodegrade cyanide species aqueous solutions. These compounds characterized X-ray powder diffraction, fluorescence, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-rays, point of zero charge, specific surface area. The adsorption characteristics measured using batch experiments as a function pH, initial concentration, temperature, contact time. Langmuir isotherm model pseudo-second-order fit process better. equilibrium state in reaction systems at pH = 7 was reached around 130 60 min photodegradation experiments, respectively. maximum value (73.37 mg g−1) obtained ZC compound (zeolite + clay), capacity (90.7%) under UV light TC (ZnTiO3/TiO2 clay).
