This study examined the use of modified multiwall carbon nanotubes (M-MWCNTs) with immobilized laccase (L@M-MWCNTs) for removing ciprofloxacin (Cip), carbamazepine (Cbz), diclofenac (Dcf), benzo[a]pyrene (Bap), and anthracene (Ant) from different water samples. The synthesized materials were characterized using an array advanced analytical techniques. physical immobilization onto M-MWCNTs was confirmed through Scanning electron microscope (SEM)-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis Brunner-Emmet-Teller (BET) surface area measurements. specific decreased by 65% upon immobilization. There also increase in nitrogen content seen EDS asserting successful results Boehm titration Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) exhibited acidic functional groups after L@M-MWCNTs storage two months maintained 77.8%, 61.6%, 57.6% its initial activity 4 °C, 25 35 respectively. In contrast, free 55.3%, 37.5%, 23.5% at MWCNTs improved storability widened working temperature range laccase. optimum removal conditions studied pollutants pH 5, 1.6 g/L M-MWCNTs. These parameters led to >90% targeted four treatment cycles both synthetic spiked lake water. demonstrated consistent up five even wastewater. adsorption endothermic followed Langmuir isotherm. Oxidation, dehydrogenation, hydroxylation, ring cleavage seem be dominant degradation mechanisms.
