Severe
acute
respiratory
syndrome
coronavirus-2
(SARS-CoV-2)
has
spread
across
the
globe
since
end
of
2019,
posing
significant
challenges
for
global
medical
facilities
and
human
health.
Treatment
hospital
wastewater
is
vitally
important
under
this
special
circumstance.
However,
there
a
shortage
studies
on
sustainable
treatment
processes
utilized
by
hospitals.
Based
review
research
trends
regarding
in
past
three
years
COVID-19
outbreak,
overviews
existing
processes.
It
clear
that
activated
sludge
(ASPs)
use
membrane
bioreactors
(MBRs)
are
major
effective
techniques
applied
to
wastewater.
Advanced
technology
(such
as
Fenton
oxidation,
electrocoagulation,
etc.)
also
achieved
good
results,
but
such
remains
small
scale
moment
poses
some
side
effects,
including
increased
cost.
More
interestingly,
reveals
constructed
wetlands
(CWs)
an
eco-solution
then
focuses
slightly
more
detail
examining
roles
mechanisms
CWs’
components
with
respect
purifying
compares
their
removal
efficiency
other
believed
multi-stage
CW
system

intensifications

potential
as

health

Abstract
Background
The
spread
of
SARS-CoV-2
has
been
studied
at
unprecedented
levels
worldwide.
In
jurisdictions
where
molecular
analysis
was
performed
on
large
scales,
the
emergence
and
competition

SARS-CoV-2lineages
have
observed
in
near
real-time.
Lineage
identification,
traditionally
from
clinical
samples,
can

determined
by
sampling
wastewater
sewersheds
serving
populations
interest.

transmissibility
and/or
severity

particular

Coronavirus
Disease
2019
(COVID-19)
cases
and
Severe
Acute
Respiratory
Syndrome
2
(SARS-CoV-2)
concentrations

wastewater,

SARS-CoV-2
shedding
loads
across
various
COVID-19
outbreaks.
Linear
regression
analyses

utilized

signal
wastewater
relative
clinical
cases.

no

limited
predictive
capability
monitoring
during

phase.

disease

challenges,

environmental
factors

degradation,

our
findings
