This paper presents a procedure for the determination of bisphenol A (BPA) in seawater. Gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was used as analytical method, preceded by analyte isolation via solid-phase extraction (SPE). Initially, best conditions extraction, derivatization, and GC-MS analysis were established. Abstract The rapid increase of novel per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) raises concerns, while their identification remains challenging. Here, we develop a two-layer homolog network approach for PFAS nontarget screening using mass spectrometry. first layer constructs networks between homologs, with evaluation showing that it filters 94% false candidates. second builds classes to expedite the PFAS. We detected 94 in twelve waterproof products two related industrial sludges, including 36 not previously reported any sample. In recent years, bisphenol AF (BPAF) in aquatic environments has drawn attention to its ecological risks. This study aims investigate the toxic effects of BPAF (188.33 μg/L) exposure for 30 days on female marine medaka (Oryzias melastigma). On 10th and 30th day exposure, toxicity was evaluated using histological analysis liver ovaries transcription levels genes related antioxidant system, immune hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. Findings revealed that (1) caused vacuolation, karyopyknosis karyolysis medaka, impact augmented with duration; (2) 10 facilitated growth maturation primary ova, this had a comparatively inhibitory effect after days; (3) resulted biphasic regulation transcriptional abundance involved inflammatory response (e.g., il-8, cat), an initial up-regulation followed by down-regulation. Additionally, it disrupted pattern HPG axis-related 3βhsd, arα). conclusion, 188.33 μg/L can alter expression functionally genes, impair structural integrity organisms, pose threat their overall health.

The sea cucumber, Apostichopus japonicus, is a marine benthic organism that feeds on small particulate matter and easily affected by pollutants. Bisphenol A (BPA, 4,4'-isopropylidenediphenol) has been identified as an endocrine disruptor. It ubiquitously detectable in oceans affects variety of animals. functions estrogen analog typically causes reproductive toxicity interfering with the system. To comparatively analyze effects estradiol (E2) BPA cucumbers, we G protein-coupled receptor 1 (GPER1) A. japonicus investigated its reproduction. results showed E2 exposure activated AjGPER1, thereby mediating mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathways. High-level expression AjGPER1 ovarian tissue was confirmed qPCR. Furthermore, metabolic changes were induced 100 nM (22.83 μg/L) tissue, leading to notable increase activities trehalase phosphofructokinase. Overall, our findings suggest directly cucumber reproduction disrupting metabolism, suggesting pollutants pose threat conservation resources.
