This study synthesized a ferric oxide–nanographite (NG) nanocomposite (Fe2O3@NG) from waste toner powder through carbonization. Subsequently, TiO2/Fe2O3@NG nanohybrid was fabricated using the sol-gel technique to improve photocatalytic degradation of dyes. nanocomposites were prepared at TiO2:Fe2O3@NG ratios 2:1 (Ti:T-21), 1:1 (Ti:T-11), and 1:2 (Ti:T-12). The porosity, morphology, surface chemistry, chemical interactions between TiO2, Fe2O3, graphite in characterized Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) method microscopic spectroscopic analyses. exhibited reduced bandgap (2.4 2.9 eV) enhanced charge carrier separation transfer junction hetero-structured nanohybrid. Shale gas extraction has raised environmental concerns on regional water resources. Horizontal drilling is a process in which fluids containing complex organic and inorganic chemicals are intensively applied. Accidental spill improper disposal of related wastes might pose risks to surrounding groundwater environment. Given ground quality, persistent, mobile, toxic (PMT) very persistent mobile (vPvM) substances should be particular attention. The widespread distribution of persistent, mobile, and toxic organic chemicals (PMT) in aquatic environments poses a threat to water resources. Current mobility assessments rely on the carbon normalized adsorption coefficient (KOC), but it is sometimes highly variable with sorptive phase (soil/sediment) properties. There common oversight that this variability causes assessment discrepancies. Herein, was quantitatively evaluated based compiled experimental KOC data sets, which were obtained under OECD guidelines. results show both average discrepancy rate relative difference are nearly half those substances among recent reports. underlying reasons high poor-quality sources fail capture variability. variation values for one-third charged compounds more than 1 order magnitude, around twice higher neutral compounds. from integrated databases or available quantitative structure–property relationships all have almost orders magnitude differences compared especially insights presented here significant value future development proper assessment.

The Tibetan Plateau and surrounding area are an important source of freshwater for approximately two billion people. Climate change has aggregated permafrost degradation in the over last few decades, mobilizing organic substances sequestrated permafrost. Abstract Aliphatic chlorinated hydrocarbons, notably tetrachloroethylene (also known as perchloroethylene [PCE]), are persistent, mobile, and toxic (PMT) and/or very (vPMT) groundwater pollutants, often exceeding safe drinking water thresholds. The present study delves into the risk assessment of PCE with a novel focus on sensitivity stygobitic species—organisms uniquely adapted to environments. Through comparative analysis subchronic effects locomotion behavior two copepod species, Moraria sp. nonstygobitic Bryocamptus zschokkei , we highlighted inadequacy current European predicted‐no‐effect concentration for ecosystems.
