Abstract
Chemical
exposomes
can
now
be
comprehensively
measured
in
human
blood,
but
robust
application
of
chemical
exposomics
cohort
studies
requires
knowledge
the
longitudinal
stability
and
interindividual
variability
exogenous
molecular
profiles.
Here
we
applied
to
plasma
46
adults,
each
sampled
six
times
over
two
years
a
multiomic
wellness
cohort.
New
chemicals
were
discovered,
distinctive
co-exposure
patterns
observed,
intra-class
correlation
coefficients
(ICC)

Abstract
Pesticides
are
transferred
outside
of
cropland
and
can
affect
animals
plants.
Here
we
investigated
the
distribution
97
current
use
pesticides
in
soil
vegetation
as
central
exposure
matrices
insects.
Sampling
was
conducted
on
53
sites
along
eleven
altitudinal
transects
Vinschgau
valley
(South
Tyrol,
Italy),
Europe’s
largest
apple
growing
area.
A
total
27
(10
insecticides,
11
fungicides
6
herbicides)
were
detected,
originating
mostly
from
orchards.
Residue
numbers
concentrations
decreased
with
altitude
distance
to
orchards,
but
even
detected
at
highest
sites.
Predictive,
detection-based
mapping
indicates
that
pesticide
mixtures
occur
anywhere
floor
mountain
peaks.
This
study
demonstrates
widespread
contamination
Alpine
environments,
creating
contaminated
landscapes.

alpine

ABSTRACT
Fungal
communities
are
critical
for
leaf
decomposition,
a
central
ecosystem
function
in
streams.
A
wide
range
of
anthropogenic
stressors
can
alter
their
structure
and
(i.e.,
decomposition).
Additionally,
fungal
subject
to
seasonal
turnover
due
natural
processes.
Despite
this,
seasonality
interaction
with
varying
stressor
exposure
has
rarely
been
studied
the
context
decomposition.

investigated
community
composition

one
agricultural
growing
season
by

Human
activities
increasingly
disturb
biodiversity
and
ecosystems

beyond
their
immediate
areas.

human

Earth's
surface,

offsite
disturbances
threaten
at
regional
global
scales.
Despite
significance,
ecological
impacts
remain
poorly
understood,
often
confused
with

phenomena
(e.g.,
edge
effects)

evaluation
frameworks.

study
clarified
the
definition
of
impacts,
examined
mechanisms
(sources,
paths,
drivers),
discussed
intensification
under
change.
