Abstract Purpose of Review Urban green spaces provide benefits for human health and well-being, among other properties, thanks to their ability attenuate environmental pollutants. The sound environment is not healthy in most cities, this situation has changed recent decades. These are potential quiet areas with good acoustic quality if they designed planned properly from a multidisciplinary perspective. Although the mitigating effects infrastructure have been extensively studied, application very limited. objective study analyze those characteristics that contribute soundscape and, turn, would give them areas, users, physical environment. Recent Findings Current studies show accurately determine relationship between well-being benefits, it necessary know interaction variables, including soundscape. development ISO/TS 12913-2 promoted consideration use appropriate procedures its evaluation. Summary inclusion epidemiological will improve quantification on citizens. Only global indicators, such as L den (dB), importance variables user activities determination health.

Quantifying the emotional impact of street greening during full-leaf seasons in spring, summer, and fall is important for well-being-focused urban construction. Current perception models usually focus on influence objects identified through semantic segmentation view images lack explanation. Therefore, interpretability that quantify greening’s effects are needed. This study aims to measure explain emotions help planners make decisions. would improve living environment, foster positive emotions, residents recover from negative emotions. In Hangzhou, China, we used Baidu Map API obtain when plants were state. Semantic was separate plant parts images, enabling calculation Green View Index, Plant Level Diversity, Color Richness, Tree–Sky Factor. We created a dataset specifically designed purpose perception, including four distinct categories: pleasure, relaxation, boredom, anxiety. generated combination machine learning algorithms human evaluation. Scores range 1 5, with higher values indicating stronger lower less intense ones. The random forest model Shapley Additive Explanation (SHAP) algorithm employed identify key indicators affect Emotions most affected by Diversity Index. These have an intricate non-linear relationship. Specifically, Index (often presence 20–35 fully grown trees within 200 m images) greater significantly promoted responses. Our provided local planning departments support renewal Based our research, recommend following actions: (1) increase amount visible green areas low Index; (2) seasonal flowering like camellia, ginkgo, goldenrain enhance diversity colors; (3) trim safety visibility; (4) introduce evergreen cinnamomum camphor, osmanthus, pine.

Public sentiment can effectively evaluate the public’s feelings of well-being in urban environment and reflect quality spatial to a certain extent. Previous studies on relationship between public built environmental factors have yielded meaningful results. However, few focused effect micro-built at street level, which directly shapes people’s perceptions. In addition, nonlinear synergistic among been commonly disregarded previous studies, resulting an incomplete understanding impact emotions. Therefore, this paper takes San Francisco as study case explore complex Specifically, measures polarity emotions through analysis Twitter data, establishes comprehensive index system from both macro- micro- perspectives, subsequently explores OLS model Shapley Additive Explanation algorithm. Results show that: (1) significant influence emotion, although they frequently ignored. (2) tends be more positive areas with recreation facilities, mixed land use, rich view visual environment, suitable thermal acoustic balanced income, degree high population density. (3) A threshold exist variables semantic orientations emotion. Environment improvement strategies based synergic promote generation Our empirical findings offer valuable insights foster development approach strategic interventions within environment.

Research has demonstrated the positive effect of natural environment on human restoration and well-being. Time spent in nature can often alleviate both physiological psychological stress. However, few studies have discussed environmental health effects nature's components characteristics. Sixty volunteers were recruited one manufactured five different environments randomly assigned to them, including coniferous forests (pure forest-PC mixed forest-MC), broad-leaved forest-PB forest-MB), forest (mixed forest-MCB). Each volunteer sat a built or looked around for 15 min. Physiological (HR, HRV, BP, pulse rate salivary cortisol) indicators (POMS STAI) used evaluate changes their stress level. Results indicated strong difference HR, POMS STAI between environment, which showed that lower MC had best relieving stress, whereas MCB is most successful improving emotional state reducing anxiety. Broad-leaved significantly affected DBP vigor level subjects, respectively. While did increase concentration cortisol subjects. The study confirmed compared relieve body's physical negative emotions, while increasing vitality. And plant communities also These results will provide scientific basis construction improvement urban green space environment.
