In recent years, microplastic pollution has become one of the major global concerns and represents a complex, multidimensional, multisectoral reality. Nanoplastics, in combination with pathogenic microorganisms or toxic substances, have been shown to induce oxidative stress and disrupt energy lipid metabolism, posing significant health risks. This study evaluated the effects of co-exposure nanoplastics Helicobacter pylori on digestive system mice. Transmission electron microscopy confirmed accumulation AuPS-NPs (Au-core polystyrene nanoplastics) stomach, colon, liver, while hematoxylin eosin staining revealed dose-dependent pathological damage these tissues. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays quantified interleukin-6 (IL-6), malondialdehyde (MDA), triglyceride (TG), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels, which significantly increased groups compared single-exposure (P < 0.05). After 28 days, 100 mg/L H. pylori-AuPS-NPs group showed highest levels IL-6 (172.91 ± 1.51 pg/mL 188.31 1.49 174.85 0.26 liver) MDA (13.49 0.16 nmol/mg 14.39 0.20 15.61 0.63 liver). These increases, accompanied by elevated TG LDH suggest aggravated inflammation, stress, metabolic disruption. Accumulation analysis that content over time higher concentrations, reduced nanoparticle gastric intestinal results indicate exacerbates tissue damage, disruptions modulating accumulation. findings highlight synergistic pylori, underscoring importance understanding combined exposure risks for public health.

The plastic waste crisis in Thailand has emerged as a substantial environmental dilemma, significantly exacerbating pollution both marine and terrestrial ecosystems. Although previous study mostly focused on technological policy solutions, it is still necessary to conduct thorough evaluation of the approach this issue that driven by cultural spiritual values. This aims examine influence eco-sattva principles management garbage Buddhist communities Thailand. It also seeks assess effects Eco-Sattva’s teachings conducting case at Wat Chak Daeng. A comprehensive series interviews were carried out with total 15 participants, encompassing priests, community leaders, volunteers. transcribed data was processed examined using NVivo program. interview findings demonstrate lessons Eco-Sattva are extremely advantageous terms their practical use execution. investigates analyses three-step process Daeng for management, which involves reducing, reusing, recycling trash. provides significant contribution showing resolution not solely reliant technical or policy-focused approaches, but may be derived from principles.

Abstract This work provides a comprehensive examination of microplastic air pollution in Antarctica. Due to atmospheric microplastics’ emerging importance, analytical procedures and health effects are discussed. Microplastic poses an increasing threat the unique delicate Antarctic ecosystem, potentially triggering harmful consequences not only for local ecosystem fauna, but also human well-being, given severe implications global scenarios such as imminent worldwide warming melting polar ice. Numerous investigations have now exposed extent prevalence both nano- microplastics this region, significant storehouse planet’s freshwater. highlights challenges assessing hazards that microplastics, particularly nanoscale variants, may pose life maintenance. The results suggest mechanisms mitigation critical transportation reaches. overview better understanding Antarctica while highlighting urgency more research area elucidate precisely short-, medium- long-term arrival these contaminants Antarctic.
