Spotted babylon were exposed to three different pH levels (7.0, 8.0 and 9.0) four concentrations of ammonia nitrogen (0.02, 1.02, 5.10 10.20 mg/L) in seawater determine their acute toxicity physiological responses environmental fluctuation. The study evaluated antioxidant enzymes: catalase (CAT), alkaline, superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD) glutathione (GSH-PX), two immunoenzymes: acid phosphatase (ACP) (AKP). Over time, the immunoenzyme activity was significantly affected by concentration. After being nitrogen, spotted showed signs unresponsiveness external stimuli, reduced vitality, slow movement, an inability maintain upright position. exhibited a trend increasing then decreasing GSH-PX, CAT, SOD activities adapt changing environment enhance its immunity. On contrary, POD ACP initially, followed over time AKP gradual increase with time. combined effect found be stronger than either factor alone. interaction between increased enzymes, induced oxidative stress, ability babylon's non-specific immune system reverse it. Thus, reverse-back higher when stress dual or single-factor stresses. results will establish theoretical basis for analyzing risk multiple factors babylon, also enrich basic information about shellfish system.

Prometryn, a triazine pesticide product used to control weed growth, poses high risk aquatic organisms in the environment. Several toxicological evaluations have been performed on bony fish and shrimp exposed prometryn. However, there no reports conducted toxic mechanism of prometryn with regard Eriocheir sinensis. In this study, our research evaluated effects via vitro vivo toxicity tests E. Firstly, we estimated exposure sinensis, then constructed 6 h transcriptional profile an enrichment analysis. To further reveal prometryn, hepatopancreas (hepatopancreatic cells) was analyzed for antioxidant, immune lipid-metabolism-related enzymes, antioxidant- apoptosis-related gene expression, histopathology TUNEL. From results, determined that 96 h-LD50 70.059 mg/kg, using RNA-seq, identified 933 differentially expressed genes (DEGs), which were mainly enriched amino fatty acid metabolism cell-fate-determination-related signaling pathway. The results biochemical assays showed could significantly decrease activities/levels CAT, SOD, GSH, AKP ACP, reduce levels T-AOC, TG, TCH, C3 C4, increase MDA content. addition, expression Nrf2, GSTs HO-1 first upregulated downregulated increasing time. Histopathology damaged structure cells induced apoptosis, suggesting PI3K-Akt pathway may be involved damage process (PI3K, PDK Akt whereas Bax upregulated), leading their apoptosis. above indicated cause injury through oxidative stress, induce cell disrupt lipid damage. This study provided useful data understanding evaluating crustacea.

Alkaline stress poses a significant challenge to the healthy growth of fish. Ginger polysaccharide (GP) is one main active substances in ginger and has pharmacological effects, such as anti-oxidation immune regulation. However, physiological regulatory mechanism GP addition diet on alkalinity crucian carp remains unclear. This study aimed investigate potential protective effects dietary antioxidant capacity, gene expression levels, intestinal microbiome, metabolomics exposed carbonate (NaHCO3). The CK group (no supplementation) COG (NaHCO3 no were set up. GPCS 0.4% was stressed for seven days. Based these data, significantly increased activities total capacity (T-AOC), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX), acid phosphatase (ACP), alkaline (AKP) under (p < 0.05) decreased activity malon dialdehyde (MDA) 0.05). restored GSH-PX, ACP, AKP levels. levels tumor necrosis factor β (TGF-β), factor-alpha (TNF-α), interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), interleukin 8 (IL-8) genes decreased, determination kappa-B (NF-κB) 10 (IL-10) 16 S rRNA high-throughput sequencing, improved changes microbial diversity structural composition caused by NaHCO3 exposure. Compared group, had 64 different metabolites enriched pathways, including lipid metabolism, nucleotide carbohydrate metabolism. feed can promote galactose metabolism provide an energy supply carp, thus alleviating damage induced stress. conclusion, mitigate regulating function, flora, carp. These findings novel idea studying salt-alkali tolerance adding feed.

Alkalinity stress is the main experienced by aquatic animals in saline-alkali water, which hinders aquaculture development and utilization of water resources. The two-factor (2 × 3) test was adopted to study influence dietary protein carbohydrate ratios on energy metabolism Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) under different alkalinity levels. Three diets with protein-carbohydrate (P27/C35, P35/C25, P42/C15) were fed fish cultured freshwater (FW, 1.3 mmol/L carbonate alkalinity) or alkaline (AW, 35.7 for 50 days. Ambient decreased growth performance. Although ambient caused oxidative enhanced ion transport ammonia tilapia, P27/C35 diet showed better adaptability than other two water. Further metabolomic analysis that upregulated all pathways enriched this cope stress. Under stress, exhibited pyruvate purine compared P42/C15 diet. This indicated could significantly decrease performance cause osmotic regulation. However, reducing content increasing carbohydrates weaken improve performance, transport, long-term hyperalkaline exposure.
