One of the most critical problems faced by modern civilization is depletion freshwater resources due to their continuous consumption and contamination with different organic inorganic pollutants. This paper considers potential already discovered MXenes in combination carbon nanomaterials address this problem. MXene appears be a highly promising candidate for water purification its large surface area electrochemical activity. However, swelling, stability, high cost, scalability need overcome.
