The negative consequences of various types military activity on physical disturbances and chemical pollution the environment are systematized. Factors include potentially toxic elements, energetic compounds (explosives, fuels) warfare agents. According to systematization available data long-term impact exercises actions territories different countries soil pollution, metal dominate among organic pollutants compounds. combination violations with multicomponent creates a specificity natural compared other anthropogenic factors. following directions research into problem were noted: detection, distribution ecotoxicology in environments, biodiversity vegetation dynamics, phytoremediation reduce level ecological physiological factors plant tolerance, degradation detoxification plants. tolerance plants residues explosive substances classes occurs due general pathways biochemical transformation, which ensure xenobiotics. Taking account current state problem, literary Ukraine transformation summarized. Among these areas, assessment damage caused by armed aggression environment; environmental monitoring combat action; analysis vegetation. Destructions as result action led significant changes vegetation, associated ruderalization adventization. role ruderal (including invasive) common flora under conditions habitats is analyzed. Increased invasive species high levels metals can be used for disturbed but will create competitive advantage more intensive spread native new risks phytodiversity.

Interactions between humans and the physical environment in which they live have been studied extensively reason being that human activities to a great extent exert an influence on (biotic abiotic). Pollution other hand is introducing harmful substances into are damaging living organisms. Pollutants can be gases, liquids or solids produced concentrations higher than usual diminish quality of environment. Human adverse effects by polluting air we breathe, water drink even cause climatic changes. In terms provision manifold services, technology societal modernization, industrial revolution recorded outstanding success, it however, was beginning mass production pollutants emitted caused health our era, industrialization urbanization evidently reaching unprecedented disturbing proportions globally with anthropogenic pollution one major public hazards, accounting for almost 9 million deaths annually. This research therefore aims investigate environmental from activities, particularly water, climate change provide comprehensive understanding interconnectedness their consequences. Furthermore, since emerges as global concern developing countries; this study thus also highlights significance efficient wastewater treatment crucial strategy sustainable development, exploring its potential contribution mitigation.

The widespread destruction and the devastating humanitarian toll caused by ongoing war on Gaza have transformed this besieged Strip into a place of death despair. This review will explore implications for food security, focusing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2, which seeks to fight malnutrition insecurity achieve zero hunger 2030. work is based grey literature, such as reports from government non-governmental agencies, well recent scientific journal publications. Our results show that has exacerbated already acute Gazans been struggling with since blockade was imposed in 2007. Restless bombardment ground operations damaged or even razed agricultural land all production infrastructure (such bakeries, mills, processing facilities), destroying Gaza’s system. Facing catastrophic levels hunger, some families, especially northern recently resorting eating animal feed weeds survive. With starvation civilians being used method warfare, many experts human rights organizations argue now world’s worst crisis its population verge famine, if not there. Moreover, unprecedented could significant consequences global security six pillars, jeopardizing implementation SDG 2. While international are making efforts mitigate shortage more comprehensive sustainable solutions needed address root causes ensure residents access an adequate nutritious diet.

This article presents an empirical study on enhancing the energy efficiency of buildings in Ukraine, particularly context post-war reconstruction. The research focuses implementing measures based environmental screening and life cycle assessment (LCA). Using LCA software, compares various methods for measuring impacts, confirming significant potential savings emission reductions. comprehensive considers all stages a building’s cycle, including material extraction, production, construction, operation, maintenance, final disposal or recycling. analysis provides objective impacts construction activities. findings highlight that transitioning from certificate C to B is highly effective strategy improving efficiency. Recommendations include adopting advanced technologies materials optimise consumption reduce emissions, supporting sustainable development natural resource conservation. Additionally, emphasises importance incorporating leading building certification such as Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) Leadership Energy Design (LEED) ensure high standards practices. also identifies shortcomings Ukrainian legislation, underscoring necessity rebuilding according global European standards. These efforts are crucial conditions amidst substantial demand following conflict.

Abstract The ‘decade of action’ intended to accomplish the ambitious 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) faces notable challenges. Our investigation into impact COVID-19 crisis on SDG progress reveals important lessons for shaping effective policy interventions ensure resilient societies and overall well-being. Through systematic mapping a rapid review approach, our analysis that nearly 90% SDGs, specifically 144 targets, were adversely affected by pandemic. Yet, there is glimmer opportunity: 66 targets stand gain from crisis-induced transformations, provided right choices are made. Achieving this goal demands comprehensive approach decisive leadership steer an inclusive economic recovery also safeguards environment while safeguarding environment. intricate interplay between ongoing planetary post-COVID-19 crises, environmental challenges, conflicts underscores need proactive, deliberate well-informed marked collaborative decision-making, which imperative effectively steering toward achieving SDGs. These complex challenges demand collective, action, all with overarching aim securing just sustainable future all.

This study assessed the possibility of using wood as a building material for construction houses. A comprehensive method was used, which consisted analysing environmental management regulations, applying life cycle assessment to minimise carbon footprint; software calculate footprint wooden house at different stages cycle. The object is built wood. Life Cycle Assessment used methodology assessing Using One Click and Cost software, log calculated product stage mentioned above (A1-A3). When calculating wood-based materials, emissions were taken into account not only from finished products, but also all other products obtained result logging. footprint, greenhouse gas activities are estimated. We have data on cost in terms electricity use. Accordingly, we value global warming potential (A1-A3) 0.51 kg CO 2 e/kWh. diesel consumption. According results LCA, due meeting water supply/sewage needs 0.69 e/m 3 . heat supply production (A1- A3) 0.13 Based information obtained, can conclude that it advisable use material, smaller than brick building. final section presents by discount factor inflation, percentage energy costs, (displaying parameters according European certification scale). Тhe armed aggression of the Russian Federation has led to disruption balance in agroecosystems Ukraine. The purpose this study was investigate agroecological consequences soil disturbance agrocenosis due explosive ordnance and justify use ameliorative factors for fertility restoration. Vegetation studies were conducted at «Institute Applied Biotechnology». Soil samples experiment collected from liberated territories Kharkiv region affected by military actions. expertise, disrupted ordnance, revealed changes agrochemical, biological, toxicological indicators compared control plot agrocenosis. humus content decreased 39–46%, hydrolyzable nitrogen 30–38%, mineral 36–48%, while availability mobile potassium increased 115–139%. Significant excess heavy metals detected: copper 3 times, lead — 1.5 nickel 2.7 cadmium 2.5 times. Microbiological processes characterized an increase mineralization-immobilization coefficients, oligotrophy, pedotrophy, a decrease organic matter transformation indicator. Based on observed changes, proposed aimed application nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizer, winter wheat straw as biological preparation EcoStern Detox contributed improvement agrochemical properties optimized direction microbiological processes, but had no systemic impact change quantity forms metals. positive amelioration environment confirmed bioassay. Combining studied resulted 14.3–18.1% maize plant height BBCH 14 stage, aboveground biomass 24–46.2%, root mass 13.3–14.3% control. highest growth development photosynthetic apparatus system with entire complex ameliorants. obtained results are consistent analysis, simultaneous biopreparation, fertilizers, significant both other research variants.
