Abstract
In
recent
years,
the
field
of
ancient
DNA
(aDNA)
has
taken
a
new
direction
toward
studying
human
population
dynamics
through
sedimentary
(sedaDNA),
enabling
study
past
ecosystems.
However,
screening
numerous
sediment
samples
from
archaeological
sites
remains
time-consuming
and
costly
endeavor,
particularly
when
targeting
hominin
DNA.
Here,
we
present
novel
high-throughput
method
that
facilitates
fast
efficient
analysis
by
applying
pooled
testing
method.
Our
approach
involves
combining
multiple
extracts,
allowing
users
to
parallelize
laboratory
procedures
early
in
sample
preparation
pipeline
while
effectively
for
presence
aDNA.
Pooled
exhibit
aDNA
signals
can
then
undergo
detailed
analysis,
empty
pools
are
discarded.
We
have
successfully
applied
our
extract

Middle
Upper
Paleolithic
Europe,

Understanding
the
response
of
long-term
aquatic
environmental
changes
in
lakes
to
ongoing
climate
change
and
human
activities

Lake
ecosystems
on
the
Tibetan
Plateau
(TP)
are
highly
susceptible
to
external
input
owing
their
fragile
environment.
However,
less
study
has
been
done
focus
direct
influences
of
anthropogenic
activities
lake
sediments
by
human
activities.

this
study,
we
performed
first
large-scale
investigation
use
fecal
stanol
proxies
in
surface
assess
impact
and
herbivorous
feces
TP
lakes.

lakes

Global
climate
change
has
significantly
impacted
waterbird
communities
in
the
warming
and
humidifying
wetlands
of
Qinghai–Tibet
Plateau.
