Introduction Global warming promotes geographical variability in climate, although the trends differ for lower and higher latitudes of Northern Hemisphere. By end current century, climate models project an increase up to 20–30% summer precipitation northern Europe, accompanied by atmospheric humidity. Information on effects increasing air humidity performance trees is scant. Methods We studied artificially elevated relative (RH) soil moisture growth, phenology needle/shoot morphology 5-year-old Norway spruce ( Picea abies ) saplings at Free Air Humidity Manipulation (FAHM) experimental site eastern Estonia. The were subjected three treatments: C – control, ambient conditions; H humidification, mean ~ + 5%; I irrigation, +15%. Trees from pure stands sampled plots per treatment 2022. Results needle P. was insensitive moderate changes water content mesic conditions. In contrast, treatments significantly affected shoot size, which decreased following order: > H. This finding indicates a certain deceleration development trees’ assimilating surface under manipulation did not influence timing bud burst, but differentiated between two phenological forms early-and late-flushing forms. growing RH exhibited slower growth rates compared treatments. early-flushing grew faster, while performed better environmental Conclusion At high latitudes, concomitant rise counteract enhancement forest productivity predicted boreal forests due global warming. Given that late form more tolerant wetter climates less threatened spring frosts, it has greater potential adapt regional Europe.

Loss of forest cover and derived effects on ecosystems services has led to the establishment land management policies monitoring systems, consequently demand for accurate multitemporal data extent structure. In recent years, spaceborne Light Detection Ranging (LiDAR) missions, such as Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI) instrument, have facilitated repeated acquisition vertical structure vegetation. this study, we designed an approach incorporating GEDI airborne LiDAR data, in addition detailed forestry inventory estimating tree-growth dynamics Laurentides wildlife reserve Canada. We estimated average rate 0.32 ± 0.23 (SD) m/year study site evaluated our results against field a time series NDVI from Landsat images. The are agreement with expected patterns rates related tree species stand age, produced dataset is able track disturbance events resulting loss canopy height. Our demonstrates benefits using spaceborne-LiDAR extending temporal coverage inventories highlights ability detecting changes forests’

The study investigated the cultivation, chemical composition, and potential applications of Salvia officinalis L. cultivar "Primorska" over three years. research revealed that essential oil S. contains significant amounts oxygenated monoterpenes, including a-thujone (19.9-29.0%), camphor (15.8-19.6%), b-thujone (12.3-13.3%), 1,8-cineole (8.8-11.3%). content these compounds varied across years correlated with temperature fluctuations. hydrolate derived from exhibited a similar profile to oil, emerging as most abundant compound (42.4-49.6%). Statistical analysis correlations between temperature, precipitation, various in both hydrolate. Temperatures are strong negative correlation (KT=-36.500), positive (KT=9.5), (KT=4.500) (KT=5.000) oil. In hydrolates is also noted trend correlations: (KT=-32.000), (KT=34.000), (KT=7.000), (KT=7.000). highly valued food pharmaceutical industry, well cosmetics, perfumery aromatherapy. Numerous studies have indicated its antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory anticancer potential. highlighted sanitation, pharmaceuticals due antioxidant properties moderate antimicrobial effects. Overall, contributes deeper understanding products' composition underscores valuable resource multiple industries. Further exploration into benefits will drive innovation product development utilization.
