Rare earth elements (REEs) are increasingly present in the environment owing to their extensive use modern industries, yet interactions with plants remain poorly understood. This review explores soil–plant continuum of REEs, focusing on geochemical behavior soil, mechanisms plant uptake, and fractionation processes. While REEs not essential for metabolism, they interact structures interfere normal functioning biological macromolecules. Accordingly, influence fundamental physiological functions is reviewed, including calcium-mediated signalling morphogenesis. Special attention paid interaction photosynthetic machinery and, particularly, thylakoid membrane. By examining both beneficial effects at low concentrations toxicity higher levels, this provides some mechanistic insights into hormetic action REEs. It recommended that future research should address knowledge gaps related bioavailability plants, as well short- long-range transport responsible REE fractionation. A better understanding REE–plant will be critical regard assessing ecological impact potential risks terms agricultural natural ecosystems, ensure benefits using expense environmental integrity or human health.

Hybrid compounds have a significant impact on agriculture as slow macro- and micronutrient administration systems. This study aimed to evaluate the synthesis effect of hybrid compound Nd(NO3)3@Zn-MOF in different concentrations vitro growth vanilla (Vanilla planifolia Jacks. ex Andrews). A total 13 plantlets per treatment were cultivated test tubes with semi-solid Murashige Skoog (MS) medium without regulators treated 0, 5, 10, 15, 30 mg L−1 Nd(NO3)3@Zn-MOF. After 60 days culture, we evaluated morphological biochemical parameters, such shoot length, root number roots, leaves, chlorophyll carotenoid content, antioxidant capacity, phenolic content. Our results showed that at 10 concentration increased plantlet length. Furthermore, observed an increase length 5 concentrations, decrease these same parameters 15 concentrations. There no differences regarding leaves or As for highest concentration. Finally, content decreased compared control. In conclusion, beneficial effects growth, physiology, biochemistry V. when plants low Additionally, high used this did not induce toxicity. findings suggest could be biostimulant during its culture. However, due hormetic possible reactions genotypes, requires further detailed research.
