This research investigates the optimal integration of Blockchain Technology (BT) in Supply Chain Management (SCM) within Chile’s maritime ports. Utilizing fuzzy Logarithmic Methodology Additive Weights (LMAW) and Double Normalization-based Multiple Aggregation Methods (DNMA), study systematically identifies, prioritizes, ranks key factors influencing BT adoption SCM. Abstract Sustainable development is crucial to ports due the interconnection between port activities, economy, and environment. This study aims explore how digitalization initiatives played role of promoting sustainable development. To this purpose, author/authors adopted a mixed methods approach using as database World Ports Sustainability Program, which features 74 initiatives. The first step focused on quantitative analysis distribution said in terms goals, followed by thematic their contribution. findings indicate that more than 72% addressed goals 8, 9, 13, 17. Air pollution caused by shipping-related activities has adversely affected public health and environmental quality in port cities. However, applying digital technologies offers new pathways to mitigate such pollution. Based on panel data from 52 coastal cities China 2016 2020, this study employs a two-way fixed effects model analyze the impact of economy PM 2.5 Additionally, threshold is used examine effect size relationship between Heterogeneity analysis further conducted two dimensions—vessel types components—to explore variations economy’s emission reduction effects. The results show that development significantly reduces levels, strengthens as expands. Furthermore, there are significant differences across different vessel components. These findings contribute understanding mechanisms through which mitigates provide scientific basis policy support for promoting green shipping industry.

Ports are critical hubs in the global supply chain, yet they face mounting challenges achieving carbon neutrality. Port Integrated Multi-Energy Systems (PIMESs) offer a comprehensive solution by integrating renewable energy sources such as wind, photovoltaic (PV), hydrogen, and storage with traditional systems. This study examines implementation of real-word PIMES, showcasing its effectiveness reducing consumption emissions. The findings indicate that 2024, PIMES enabled reduction 1885 tons CO2 emissions, wind contributing 84% PV 16% to total decreases. system achieved charge–discharge efficiency 99.15%, while hydrogen production demonstrated an 63.34%, producing 503.87 Nm3/h hydrogen. Despite these successes, remain optimizing integration, expanding capacity, advancing technologies. paper highlights practical strategies enhance PIMESs’ performances, offering valuable insights for policymakers port authorities aiming balance sustainability providing blueprint carbon-neutral development worldwide.

Petroleum storage and transport systems necessitate robust safety measures to mitigate oil spill risks threatening marine ecosystems sustainable development through ecological socioeconomic safeguards. We aimed gain a deeper understanding of the evolution patterns accidents effectively risks. An improved risk assessment method that combines Bow-Tie (BT) theory Dynamic Bayesian was applied evaluate petroleum transportation facilities. Additionally, scenario modeling approach utilized construct model event chain resulting from accidents, facilitating quantitative analysis prediction. By constructing an accident based on fault trees, BT converted into Network (BN) model. A (DBN) established by incorporating time series parameters static model, enabling dynamic base in Zhoushan archipelago. This study quantitatively analyzes propagation process tank leakage, establishing time-dependent probability profiles. The results demonstrate initial leakage 0.015, with magnitude doubling for temporal progression concurrent probabilistic escalation secondary hazards, including fire or explosion scenarios. novel transition framework consequences petrochemical leaks has been developed, providing predictive paradigm trajectories offering critical theoretical practical references emergency response optimization.
