Significant amounts of toxic metal-containing mining waste are produced by chromium activities, along with the production air pollutants. The presence metals in various environmental media including air, water, and soil, their chemical species such as hexavalent chromium, pose major health hazards for both directly exposed workers population residing near areas. Highlighting requirements enhanced protection safety measures, this comprehensive review shed light on global pollution stemming from chromite activities. Based published literature, study also investigated into caused explored probable effects individuals. exposure routes mechanisms metal induced carcinogenicity groups were assessed.
