This study aims to evaluate the emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) stemming from sludge treatment sector in China and investigate feasibility novel technologies curtailing these emissions, with aim fostering sustainable management methodologies. Employing a life-cycle assessment (LCA) methodology, research computed comprehensive GHG resulting treatment, taking into consideration diverse elements such as techniques (e.g., landfills, incineration, land application) geographical variations among China’s 660 municipalities. Findings indicate that total amount amounted 18.54 Mt CO2-eq 2017, incineration registering highest (10,011.53 kg CO2-eq/t dry (DS)), followed by landfills (717.51 DS) application (276.41 DS). The dispersion characteristics reveal notable regional disparities, top 1% cities responsible for 34.2% overall emissions. concentration 1 percent underscores necessity tailored mitigation measures consider localized development challenges. Principal component analysis (PCA) demonstrates economic determinants scales exert substantial influence on underscoring imperative aligning Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) advancement. Abstract The aim of this study is to investigate the feasibility an alternative Fenton-based advanced oxidation process for discoloration reactive-dyed waste cotton as a pre-treatment textile recycling. For that, pre-wetted dark-colored (black and blue) knitted samples 300 cm 2 are treated in 1200mL Fenton-solution containing 14 mM Fe 2+ 280mM H O at 40 °C. Characterization textiles before after treatments performed by UV VIS-spectrophotometry measuring color strength, microscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, thermal analysis tensile testing tenacity elongation.
