Quercus species plays a key role in maintaining biodiversity and ecosystem stability as an important component of forest ecology. However, conservation researches on changes the geographic distribution ecological niche have been limited. In this study, we employed optimized MaxEnt model to simulate potential dynamics four evergreen broad-leaved (Q.baronii, Q.dolicholepis, Q.glauca, Q.spinosa) Yangtze Yellow River basins under different climate scenarios (SSP126 SSP585) 2050s 2070s. The relative contribution environmental factors future these was assessed through modeling. results show that Precipitation Coldest Quarter (bio19) Temperature Annual Range (bio7) are most affecting species. Habitat suitability for Q. baronii spinosa trended downward, while dolicholepis glauca expanded their habitat ranges. addition, change led significant contraction baronii, dolicholepis, SSP585-2050s scenario, had more pronounced effect expansion broadleaf other scenarios.

The yak (Bos grunniens) exhibits exceptional regional adaptability, enabling it to thrive in the distinctive ecological niches of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Its survival relies on intricate balance its intestinal microbiome, essential for adapting harsh environmental conditions. Despite documented significance bacteria and fungi maintaining homeostasis supporting immune functions, there is still a substantial gap understanding how composition functionality gut microbiota vary along altitude-temperature gradients. This study aims fill this by employing 16S rRNA ITS amplicon sequencing techniques analyze compare microbiome yaks residing at different elevations exposed varying temperatures. findings demonstrate subtle variations diversity fungi, accompanied significant changes taxonomic across various altitudes temperature Notably, Firmicutes, Actinobacteriota, Bacteroidota emerged as dominant phyla all groups, with Actinobacteriota exhibiting highest proportion (35.77%) LZF group. Functional prediction analysis revealed associations between group metabolic pathways related amino acid metabolism biosynthesis. suggests potential role actinomycetes enhancing nutrient absorption yaks. Furthermore, our suggest that may enhance energy catabolism modulating Firmicutes-to-Bacteroidota ratio, potentially mitigating effects variations. Abstract Background Grassland degradation decreases the capacity of soil carbon sequestration, while supplementation exogenous organic matter enhances priming effect (PE) and affects cycle in soil. The excrements Tibetan sheep ( Ovis aries ) plateau pika Ochotona curzoniae play an important role cycling. Therefore, they were used to enrich alpine meadow soils degraded different levels after incubation at 20 °C for up 45 days. PE was analyzed using natural 13 C isotope tracer method relation properties. Results two kinds excrement significantly increased accumulation sequestration. Of two, achieved a better effect. Compared with non-degraded soil, severely had PE, but lightly moderately not from each other. Structural equation modelling shows that total nitrogen (TN), (SOC), β-1,4-N-acetylaminoglucosidase (NAG), β-1,4-glucosidase (βG), pH, microbial biomass (MBC) are main factors affecting PE. In particular, TN directly negatively affected SOC NO 3 − -N:NH 4 + -N ratio indirectly by enzyme activity MBC. Conclusions This study demonstrates supplement animal can improve extracellular content soils, which is conducive net balance. Supplementation both effectively enhance further increase activity, fertility sequestration ability seriously higher than those excrement, promote meadows. findings this provide theoretical evidence rational utilization degradation.

In animal assisted reproductive technology, the production of high-quality oocytes is crucial. The yak, having lived in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau for an extended period, has cells that are regulated by hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF-1α). This study aimed to investigate impact HIF-1α on yak oocyte maturation and early embryonic development vitro through regulation autophagy. process involved addition inducer DFOM inhibitor LW6 examine their effects maturation, development, cell autophagy, cytochrome P450s (CYP450s) enzyme expression, cumulus diffusion factors. findings revealed significantly upregulated expression HIF-1α, resulting increased area, elevated first polar body expulsion rate oocytes, enhanced mitochondrial actin levels, decreased ROS production, reduced apoptosis levels oocytes.
